This is Genocide In A Single Man part two, a continuation of the monologue that you heard last week.

It describes the moment when the narrator realized that she had been facing oppression and neglect in her relationship with her partner for such a long time, all because she wanted to get married.

She had been tormented greatly by a man who did not love her but who would continue to berate and belittle her because he was simply a bully and manipulative in a of his way. She had only just realized the gravity of the fall she took by being with him.
