Betcha thought I died. Or got bored. Or forgot I had a podcast in the first place. Joke's on you, booboo! I've made one kajillion life choices in the past whole entire year without a new episode. Listen in to the wacky misadventures of an old lady with mad audio skills, the world's cutest Beagle, and a frikkin 16-year-old car, as she undertakes flight from the frying pan and heads right into the fire.
Forty-four years ago, John Lennon wrote:
"Before you cross the street
Take my hand
Life is what happens to you
While you're busy making other plans"
And he wasn't joking, mate. Little did I know that the Three Basic Forms of Plot Twist were coming for me:
1. Real grownup sorrow
2. Amazing surprise recognition
3. Oh? Is there an election?
So please enjoy, as I act out an old REO Speedwagon song, and Roll with the Changes. And if you'd like to help me roll, your support is always welcome right here: https://buymeacoffee.com/grannyhasaa
Please and thank you and stay offa my lawn.
Love,
MamaCat
Absolutely, positively, not about household cleaning tips. That's some other podcast. I may be in the Metaphor business. Clean Out Your Mailbox! Clean out your Mind? Clean out your Closets...
I promised you last time that we’d talk about junk mail, and we do. And as this evening marks the end of National Mental Health Week in the U.S. (where we could use some), we talk about that too. Also, physical junk gets cleaned out too. Includes research, opinion, and as always, there’s Time Travel.
Today’s Soup contains: Heavy duty personal stuff sandwiched between slices of hot fresh snark and sarcasm. Tender moments of inner vulnerability mixed with humor and reflection. Consumer reports sprinkled with obscure 60s & 70s pop culture references.
I promise, this podcast doesn’t sound like the other Grannies’ podcasts, because I’m not like the other grannies. But I hang out with them.

Today's soup includes; the ballad of what happened with Lowe's; hot fresh steaming gendered ageism; burgeoning Springtime; and the Nanny Named Fran. Please remember to hang on tightly, and keep your arms and legs inside the car until the ride has come to a complete stop.
Is this thing on?? Some women lie about their ages. I've never had that problem. Today's soup contains Minneapolis, New York, New Jersey, and Kindness.
Happy New Year! Welcome to my rockin’ New Years Eve Epiphany Vacation super party!
This time it’s mainly, “What I did on my Christmas Vacation,” starring MamaCat and HusbandCat as the Griswolds, finally getting it right. Today’s soup includes comfort and joy, the holly and the ivy, and the usual sleaze.
Today’s soup contains: slain dragons, consumer relations, self-advocacy, and the great Sly Stone. Oh, and tomatoes. Of course tomatoes. May also contain: snark, sarcasm, sound effects, opinion, excellent music choices. Processed in a facility that also contains a Beagle and a polydactyl cat. Professional driver on closed course. Do not attempt at home. Yes I’ll pick up milk on the way home.
Well it's been an interesting 6 weeks, cats and kittens. Today's soup includes time travel, hubris, and orchestrations that are sure to bring that sequins-and-champagne feeling, along with a celebration of Erma Bombeck's very existence. Swing along with me into the madness and weirdness of modern life, and for crying out loud let's try to get our feet up for a while this week.
It all started when I made the mistake of coming home from vacation.
Today's soup includes time travel, air travel, James Bond, and the mystery of the lady who blows away invisible leaves. Low cholesterol, high fiber, USDA choice, and now, gluten free!
Happy Day, You Mothers!!
We all have feelings about Mother's Day... good, bad, indifferent, undefined. Wherever you're at with this whole Mother's Day thing, I've included a lot of non-cliché, non-researched, opinionated thoughts on the matter. Today's soup contains no history, other than my ramblings about great TV moms, and maybe at least one real-life one. Also included: Star Trek references, song parody, and truths about the Brady Bunch house.
"Once it was a secret, now the story can be told..." -- Starland Vocal Band, 'Hail Hail Rock and Roll' 🎉
Yes, it's true, I have secret crushes on YouTube. It's high time I told the truths America and the world have longed to hear. Be surprised, be very surprised. ❤️

It's a road. It's a path. It's both a road and a path. But it's no hill.
Life, me little droogies. I don't accept "over the hill"... roads and paths have both hills and valleys, it's not just one thing.

Dear Janine,
I totally mispronounced your name.
But it’s worth overlooking.
This time.
So the other day on LinkedIn, one of the many fine anti-ageism advocates in my network tagged several different people 50+ years of age with questions about how they handle ageism in their lives. So this is how I answered. I made a thing. There’s, like, four really good stories in here. And some snark. Perhaps some opinion.
OK. There is definitely opinion.
Stay offa my lawn.
Love,
Granny
The continuing adventures of MamaCat, HusbandCat, Amy Farah Howler, and Miss Domino the Bond Girl Kitty Cat. This time, we discuss Hoppin' John, the never ending snow in Minnesota this winter, Tiny Little Victories, and whether the Wealth we seek is strictly financial or perhaps a little bit spiritual. May contain admonishments for old white ladies to Do Better.
"Granny Has A Podcast" gets music & SFX from our good friends at Soundstripe. Worth every penny.
Written, produced, directed, edited, voiced, and created by Diana Wilde.
She must be something.
Happy Holidays and hang on tight. This is the longest audio episode yet, and honey, it ain't all eggnog and old movies by the fireside. Chills! Thrills! Actual family drama we coulda lived without maybe! MamaCat gets her music and sound effects from Soundstripe. The rest of it took place in real life. No actors were harmed in the recording of this episode. MamaCat will return in, "Podcasts Are Forever".
We might not be talking abut literal soup in all cases. Then again, sometimes we might.
They're Universal in nature, really, those Principles of Soup. Not unlike Kung Fu Panda, MamaCat has wised up about the Secret Ingredient. Therefore, no Secret Ingredient will be revealed or hinted at in this episode. Likewise, no actors were harmed in the making of this episode. I am, however, fully prepared to do damage to a big bowl of soup later. 😎🍜🎙️🎧😉
In which MamaCat, well-known Dowager Countess of Happy Cat Ranch, does noble battle with the healthcare delivery system, finds her power, and gains great relief from finding out she isn't going to die of Knee today or tonight that we know of.
Ok, so far we know that I got caught up on the laundry by ordering HusbandCat some more underwear online, and that after an amazing California start to the summer, something weird went wrong with my knee, and we never did get around to talking Home Grown Tomatoes. But we're all succeeding at this whole Rebuilding Life thingy, and that's all ya can do, kiddo. You got this. We both got this. The Lessons of 2022 for all include:
Enjoy! And stay offa my lawn!
Where did she go? Two videos, one audio podcast, and she flakes off? No, no; for MamaCat is off to visit the Magickal Land of Knee Drama! Wheee!!!
AUDIO ONLY! This time, Granny Has A Podcast and she sits down to introduce it.
