Broadcaster, lawyer and author, John Gormley is a former Member of Parliament whose radio show has become an important part of life in Saskatchewan. John has been a show host on 650 CKOM and 980 CJME for more that 20 years, covering the big topics and conversations, both local and international.
John is a regular convention speaker, entertaining audiences on topics ranging from politics to pop culture. At the University of Saskatchewan, he has taught political science students and has been an adjunct faculty member in the College of Law.
John has written two books. His first, “Left Out: Saskatchewan’s NDP and the Relentless Pursuit of Mediocrity” is a Canadian bestseller. His second book “The Gormley Papers: I’m Right and You Know It” is a compilation of newspaper columns touching on everything from current issues to living a better life.

A new book by Malcolm Boucholtz tells the tale of the two men’s history, rises to power and the events that culminated in the Great Debate of 1957. Boucholtz joins Gormley to talk about the book, which just launched in Regina.

The Government of Saskatchewan is making it known that it does not approve of the federal government’s clean electricity regulations, calling them “unaffordable, unconstitutional and unattainable” in a Monday news release. Minister of Crown Investments Corporations for the province, Dustin Duncan, joins Gormley.
Canadian public administration and regional economic development scholar, Donald Savoie, joins Gormley from New Brunswick to talk about his one of his latest works, Canada: Beyond Grudges, Grievances and Disunity, published earlier this year.

It puts Canada’s projected deficit at $40 billion and notes a number of cost-free policy and legislative pledges, while also touching on hot issues like housing, grocery prices and climate action. Conservative Fiance Critic, Jasraj Singh Hallan, joins Gormley to discuss the statement.
