I love how God has waited for such a heavy season in my life to teach my the importance of having FUN everyday. And honestly, I need it. No, it isn't changing the circumstances or taking away the heaviness, but it is injecting joy into my spirit. Proverbs 17:22 tells us that a cheerful heart is good medicine. And truthfully, finding moments to have fun, laugh till you cry, and enjoy the goodness in this life is so important. But, as we age, and society try to tell us we need to be serious, you geniuinely need to find your fun. So I want to encourage you to find your fun today, then, then week, then month, and year. Make it part of your lifestyle, being someone who will seek out the fun.
Nehemiah 8:10
'And Nehemiah continued, “Go and celebrate with a feast of rich foods and sweet drinks, and share gifts of food with people who have nothing prepared. This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!” '

If you're anything like me, you probably have started using AI to help improve/automate your daily life! So why not use it to get a sense of how the devil will try to weaken our faith, to take us of the course that God has us on.
I have personally fallen into many of these traps through my faith walk. But the more you abide in God, spend time in the Word and seeking His presence, the easier you see the lies for what they are - lies.
Titus 2: 11-14:
"For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good."

A very honest reflection of where my faith is at and how I'm learning to trust God with more and more of my faith everyday. The story of the father with faith who had unbelief has been a focal point for the last few weeks. I pray this stirs your spirit to have an honest and raw conversation with our Abba.
Mark 9:24:
"Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, 'Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!'"

Your guide on what to do when God feels distant, from a girl who currently feels distant from God. It's part of the faith walk, going through periods of being on fire for Jesus, to just, not. It's so easy to let that slip and become so much greater then it needs to be.
I pray these practical tips help you if you are feeling distant from God. It's what I'm doing right now to prioritise time with Him again.
James 4:8
Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

I genuinely am in AWE that this is happened, and that I've made a podcast about it?! PLEASE hear my heart on this; the ONLY reason I made a podcast about this is to glorify God, and hopefully, to increase your faith as a by product.
This truly is a testimony of God's love, His faithfulness, and His power to restore.
We pray this story blesses you, increases your faith, and draws you closer to the heart of the Father.
Proverbs 11:24-25
The world of the generous gets larger and larger; the world of the stingy gets smaller and smaller.
The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed; those who help others are helped.

Okay, I'm actually growing to love fasting (which says a lot because I LOVE food!). I mean, the whole starving your flesh and forcing your Spirit man to strengthen isn't easy, BUT, it is soooo worth it. The intimacy I experience with Abba when I fast is unmatched. It genuinely makes me want to fast more, just to experience His presence.
As Christians, we are called to fast. It's not optional, it's not for just the pastors and leaders - it's for everyone who follows Jesus. And the more I do it, the more I realise He instructed us to do so, so we would have intimacy with Him, and see breakthrough in our lives.
When I first became a Christian I had sooo many questions and didn't know where to start with fasting, and I would have loved something like this to give me more insight and perspective on fasting. We pray this helps and encourages you in your fasting, and that you even give it a go if you never have before.
My two top tips for fasting are:
1. Pray for protection BEFORE you start your fast (1-2 days before). Fasting is literally starving your flesh and your sinful desires, and the enemy does not want you to do that, he will try to make your fast more difficult and have you give up. The prayer in preparation is just as important, if not more, as the prayer during!
2. Have a dedicated space to go during your fast when you would normally cook/eat food to pray/worship/read your Bible. It's easy to distract yourself with your phone and numb out rather than seeking God on a fast, which is the whole point. (Talking from experience!)
Matthew 6:16-18
“When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."

Wow, I didn't think I would share this, but when Holy Spirit prompts you, you be obedient. My view of God is always evolving as I get to understand the scriptures on a deeper level and encounter the manifest presence of God. This is a glimpse into how my views have changed since becoming a Christian, and understanding the true heart of God.
There is so much fullness to experience in Him, all we have to do is ask. I pray this sparks something in your relationship with God and draws you into Him.
Ephesians 3:20
"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us".

Apologies for the teary voice, but this one was real and vulnerable. I pray this encourages you, give you hope and increases your faith. God is good. If it isn't good, God isn't done.
I pray a blessing over 2025. That your faith and relationship with God will be deeper and will cause living water to flow into your life and the ones around you. I pray that you would experience more joy, peace, and love this year, and that you would bring joy, peace and love to the people around you.
Matthew 1:23
"Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel (which means, God with us)"

pure (adjective): not mixed or adulterated with any other substance or material.
God has been talking to me about purity A LOT of late. It's taken me a while to get the courage to talk about this on the Pod, but here we go.
I pray that this encourages you to draw closer to God and to seek to live a life that is pure. There is no shame or condemnation in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1).

Is anyone else getting spammed with the whole "winter arc" thing, or is it just me? Either way, the trend made me reflect on the winter we have exited here in Brisbane, and what I focused on during that time. There are four key topics that I would encourage you to do a sense check for yourself to see how you're tracking, and how you can best set yourself up for 2025.
We pray this helps you to refocus for the remainder of 2024 of the things that are most important.
Psalm 118:24
This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

In a society where it is all about keeping up appearances and making sure we present a certain way, we get to come authentically and honestly to Jesus, no matter how ugly that is.
I pray that if your prayer life has been surface level, this will encourage you to speak openly and boldly with the Father - he wants children with pure hearts, not superficial ones.
Matthew 5:8
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

WHOAAA! Holy Spirit was Holy Spiriting on this one. I have already re-listened to this three times to stir my faith and encourage myself. This episode really was for me. But if I know anything about our Abba, He doesn't want you to keep a blessing, He wants you to share it.
I pray that this emboldens your faith and stirs your spirit to submit all things to the feet of Jesus, to surrender to His will, and to place your FULL trust in the one who is sovereign over it all ✩ :) xx
Hebrews 11:1

John 2!! Far out, how good are the gospels?! I mean, we always know that the gospels are good, they are the Good News after all. But going through them in more detail and reading commentaries as well has been blessing me so much. I was having revelation after revelation while reading John 2. It has blessed me so much, and we pray it blesses you too. And don't forget, it's a good thing to be a good hang.
Psalms 28:7
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.

As humans, we fall into comparison easily and often if we are not mindful. I find myself easily getting caught up in the comparison game on a daily basis when I'm not careful of it. And I typically find, I'm slow to bring it to God. I tend to dwell on it myself first before I bring it to the Father.
One quote that I love that I try to come back to when I find myself wanting to compare myself to others is this: "You should only look into another persons cup is to make sure they have enough."
We pray this helps you, like it helps us, to stop comparing yourself to see where you're in your own perceived lack, but rather focus on the blessing you have already received.
Galatians 1:10
Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Offt, this episode has challenged me and my prayer life. And I can say with confidence, that I have started writing out prayer cards for people in my life, so I can proactively pray over them daily with strategy!
I pray this episode encourages you to delight yourself in the Lord daily, and to start praying with the authority and belief that God will do exceedingly and abundantly more that you could ask or imagine.
Psalms 35:9-10
Then my soul will rejoice in the Lord and delight in his salvation. My whole being will exclaim, “Who is like you, Lord ? You rescue the poor from those too strong for them, the poor and needy from those who rob them.”

The way that God really said to me, yep, you're going to share about what we're doing right now in your heart and your faith. And I said, bet. I genuinely encouraged myself as I was editing this episode, and we are PRAYING that this episode encourages and blesses you!
Ask the Lord to increase your faith, to stretch you and grow you. And spend time with the Father. Be in His word. Seek His Presence. Know that He will do a NEW thing in you.
He is so good. And He loves you so much.
Putting Psalm 86 below. It's a good one to meditate on.
"Hear me, Lord , and answer me, for I am poor and needy. Guard my life, for I am faithful to you; save your servant who trusts in you. You are my God; have mercy on me, Lord, for I call to you all day long. Bring joy to your servant, Lord, for I put my trust in you. You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you. Hear my prayer, Lord ; listen to my cry for mercy. When I am in distress, I call to you, because you answer me. Among the gods there is none like you, Lord; no deeds can compare with yours. All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord; they will bring glory to your name. For you are great and do marvelous deeds; you alone are God. Teach me your way, Lord , that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name. I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever. For great is your love toward me; you have delivered me from the depths, from the realm of the dead. Arrogant foes are attacking me, O God; ruthless people are trying to kill me— they have no regard for you. But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. Turn to me and have mercy on me; show your strength in behalf of your servant; save me, because I serve you just as my mother did. Give me a sign of your goodness, that my enemies may see it and be put to shame, for you, Lord , have helped me and comforted me."

There is no question that we are living in trying times. Times where everyone seems to have their own truth and to an extent, you can do no wrong. In a time like this, we as Christians need to be clear on what we will stand for in the faith, even when it costs us.
If you're wanting some inspiration with your Bible, I highly recommend 1 Corinthians. So much wisdom and practical instruction for leading a God honouring life.
"Be on guard; stand firm in your faith [in God, respecting His precepts and keeping your doctrine sound]. Act like [mature] men and be courageous; be strong. [Ps 31:24] Let everything you do be done in love [motivated and inspired by God’s love for us]." 1 Corinthians 16:13-14

Wow wow wow! It was such an honour to have my beautiful sister as the first guest on the Good To Know Podcast to share her testimony. God is doing such powerful things through you, and I cannot wait to see what He does in the future.
We are praying and believing that this will set people free and you will come into a right relationship with God - He loves you so much.

I'm currently writing this sick, and I am looking forward to praising the Lord when my health is restored! IYKYK
Also, as an update, the app has been deleted, and it hasn't been re-downloaded either - confessing on here was a great accountability system.
Idolatry is real. It can creep into our hearts. It normally starts small, but it becomes larger than we can manage in a blink of an eye. We were made to worship God and God alone. I find it to be such a trust exercise with God, to keep trusting and holding faith in the promise giver more than the promise.
'Do not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.' Exodus 34:14
