She received her MDiv from Yale Divinity School and a Master of Arts in Christian Theology from Durham University in the United Kingdom, where her research focused on kenotic Christology and the lived experiences of stone butch lesbians. She is a doctoral candidate in Theological Studies at Vanderbilt University, where her research focuses on the theology and practice of Christian Initiation in the Episcopal Church.
