I’m BACKKK! Here in this episode I explain a bit about the delay of the release, but I talk e2ven MOREE about 2013’s Oculus, directed by Mike Flannagan, starring Karen Gillan, Brenton Thwaites, Katee Sackhoff, Rory Cochrane, and Kate Siegel.
Tim (Brenton) has been released from the psychiatric facility he had been living in since a traumatic childhood situation. Upon release, he has been cleared of his delusions of an evil mirror, only to be reminded by his sister, Kaylie (Karen) that they BOTH remember this mirror the same way. Tim tries to help Kaylie to see that the mirror can’t be powerful and that she’s telling stories to cope, but Kaylie believes she knows the truth and that Tim is the one who is trying to believe a lie. Through glances into their past, we discover just what pulled this family apart, along with the truth behind the mirror. Is the mirror magic? Is Kaylie imagining things? How many times will I reference Opulence by Brooke Candy because “opulence” sounds like “oculus”?
