A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare
Please visit https://thebookvoice.com/podcasts/1/audiobook/257545 to listen full audiobooks. Title: A Midsummer Night's Dream Author: William Shakespeare Narrator: LibriVox Volunteers Format: Unabridged Audiobook Length: 2 hours 4 minutes Release date: January 1, 2016 Ratings: Ratings of Book: 3.82 of Total 11 Ratings of Narrator: 1.5 of Total 2 Genres: Theatre & Radio Publisher's Summary: Magic, fairies, young lovers chasing each other through a forest, a man with a donkey's head, and impish Puck wreaking havoc right and left. What's going on here? It's A Midsummer Night's Dream, Shakespeare at his most fanciful. The play opens with Theseus, Duke of Athens, preparing for his wedding. Egeus complains to Theseus that his daughter Hermia refuses to marry Demetrius. When Hermia is given the choice between marriage to Demetrius or life as a nun, she and her true love Lysander flee into the forest. Demetrius follows them; and Helena, who loves Demetrius, follows him. Also in the forest are Oberon and Titania, king and queen of the fairies, at odds with one another. At Oberon's behest, Puck causes Demetrius to fall in love with Helena -- oops, he missed, that was Lysander instead. Mayhem ensues. In the meantime, a group of bumbling craftsmen rehearses a play. Puck gives one of them, Bottom, the head of an ass and makes Titania fall in love with him. Further hilarity results as Bottom sees nothing at all odd about this. Eventually everything is straightened out, Bottom and the rest "perform" their play, there is a triple wedding, and Puck assures us the whole thing has been a dream. Number of quotes you know: 5 (what fools these mortals be). Useful insults: 19. (Summary by Laurie Anne Walden)

Mr. Huston / Mr. North: Life, Death, and Making John Huston’s Last Film by Nat Segaloff
Please visit https://thebookvoice.com/podcasts/1/audiobook/246285 to listen full audiobooks. Title: Mr. Huston / Mr. North: Life, Death, and Making John Huston’s Last Film Author: Nat Segaloff Narrator: Nat Segaloff Format: Unabridged Audiobook Length: 3 hours 59 minutes Release date: September 29, 2015 Genres: Theatre & Radio Publisher's Summary: Journalist, producer, and film historian Nat Segaloff takes listeners behind the scenes during the final days of the great Hollywood filmmaker John Huston (The Maltese Falcon, The African Queen). In the summer of 1987, a group of the screen’s most notable stars gathered in glamorous Newport, Rhode Island, to make Mr. North, a charming but unpretentious film about a magical man who turns the town upside down. They included Anthony Edwards, Anjelica Huston, Lauren Bacall, Harry Dean Stanton, Virginia Madsen, Tammy Grimes, and a host of other talents, including legendary director John Huston. The filmmaker was Danny Huston, John’s son. But just as the cameras turned, John fell ill and was replaced by Robert Mitchum. There were daily reports on Huston’s failing health, and the world wondered whether the lion of Hollywood, after surviving so many close calls with death over the years, would finally succumb. Nat Segaloff was the only journalist—the only outsider, in fact—allowed onto the set and behind the scenes of Mr. North, and he reported on it for the Boston Herald—but only some of it. Now, after more than a quarter century, the full story can be told of the daily interactions of these famous egos struggling to finish their movie while overshadowed by the one person who wasn’t even in it.
