In this episode, we welcome Maya Tsapayi. Maya is an Irish-Zimbabwean currently working on her masters in Global Health at Trinity College Dublin. She has a passion for international health, development, and gender. She achieved a BA in Gender and Diversity in Germany, with most of her experience being in the sphere of sexual health. Her time so far on the Global Health course has allowed her to branch out from gender and discover new passions and causes she wants to actively fight for such as vaccine equity.

In this episode, we speak to Líbhan Collins. Líbhan currently works in pharmaceutical clinical trials. She has a degree in Health and Society from Dublin City University and a masters in Immunology and Global Health from Maynooth University. She undertook her MSc. thesis in Maastricht University where she did collaborative research on vaccine programmes and hesitancy. She did an internship with Gorey-Malawi Health Partnership and has done volunteering in various capacities. She is passionate about the use of evidence-based and locally led interventions in disease

Episode 10: International Development, and integrating the Community Voice with Rosie Jervase

In this episode, we welcome Rosie Jervase to the podcast! Rosie holds a Master’s degree in Global Health from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, and a Bachelor’s degree in International Development from the University of Waterloo, Canada. She is passionate about conducting research in global health, which was enhanced through her experience evaluating the capacity built among Malawi’s Community Rehabilitation Officers working in mental health. Rosie currently works with the Aga Khan Foundation as a Global Data and Insights Officer, and contributes to improving the organisation’s ability to work as an evidence-driven international development organisation and improve programming for the communities it serves across Central Asia, the Middle East and Eastern and Southern Africa.

In this episode, we speak to Deirdre Mangaoang, a Programme Director of Operations at the RCSI Institute of Global Surgery. Her background is in the education and medical-humanitarian aid sectors mainly with Médecins Sans Frontières, the Red Cross, and Educate Together. She has worked in Myanmar, in South Sudan and carried out short assignments in Jordan, India and across Africa. In 2020 she was awarded a Professional Certificate in Corporate Social Responsibility from the Law Society of Ireland.

n this episode, we speak to Chris Jenkins, a young professional with over ten years of experience working in the field of global health. Most recently he worked for Queen's University Belfast supporting research on increasing access to breast cancer services in Vietnam. He has additionally worked in Switzerland, Thailand, and helped to co-found a primary health care NGO in Uganda in 2008, with whom he remains an active volunteer. Chris now works as a Research Manager with Ipsos MORI.

Episode 7: Global Health, Health Inequalities and the SDGs with Eunice Phillip

In this episode, we welcome Eunice Phillip to the podcast! Eunice is a healthcare professional with over ten years of experience in emergency nursing, childhood immunization, care and reducing stigma in tuberculosis and HIV care in West Africa. She is currently a global health PhD researcher with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and also serves as a global health guest lecturer on the undergraduate public health module at the University College of Cork and on the STAND educational development programme. She was awarded the Jacqueline Horgan Bronze Medal award from the Royal Academy of Medicine- Ireland in 2018 for her research on household air pollution from cooking fuel and anaemia in women and children in six sub-Saharan African countries.
