Conversations

We are diving into small talk. In the first few minutes, we cover all the basics. Then, we move on to more tricky tasks. We learn about the "ich"-sound which isn't too common in other languages, so it can be difficult at the start, but we'll show you a simple trick to pronounce it perfectly every time. We also look at more sophisticated and at colloquial ways to talk to people.

Visit our website, www.lingomam.com for some training exercises on everything we cover in our podcast. You can download our material for free - no subscriptions needed!

Apart from German, we are also working on other languages. Feel free to reach out if you have suggestions!

How to Greet in German

We are taking a good look at ways to greet people in German. In the first few minutes, we cover all the basics. Then, we move on to more tricky tasks. Where do we say certain expressions? Where not? What time of the day do we say "Good evening?" Are there any colloquial ways of saying these things? Any easy forms? What should we remember? And how the heck are we supposed to pronounce those weird Umlauts?!

Actually, the answers to all these questions are surprisingly easy.
