David’s poem in Psalm 34 shows us that God is near to the brokenhearted and He sees and hears us in our hurt. Despite our wounded spirits, we can praise God, trust Him for safety, and seek Him for peace. In turn, we may also extend that understanding and provision to help others heal.

Psalm 90 stands as a reminder of God’s faithfulness to His people throughout all generations. Here we are urged to number our days, to seek His face that we may gain a heart of wisdom. And we are encouraged as we realize the ways that God’s favour rests on us.

God’s call is not a vague mystery but a gracious summons. He equips each of us by His Word and Spirit. He empowers us through Christ. And He sends us into the world to share the gospel according to His purposes.

We all live between mountaintop moments and struggles in the valley, where we are confronted with doubt, suffering and evil. But only Jesus can sustain us in those valleys. Our walk in Him is not about relying on our own strength, holiness or sufficiency, but about having total dependence, honest confession of our doubts, and a prayerful reliance on God.

Words have the power to wound or to heal, to tear down or to build up. Proverbs 18 reminds us that our tongues carry the weight of life and death. In this message, we explore how, in Christ—the Word made flesh—our speech can be redeemed to bring encouragement, healing, and life.

Because of sin, broken relationships are inevitable. But the wisdom of Proverbs points us toward gospel-shaped responses that resist hatred, gossip, superiority, and vengeance. True restoration comes only through Christ, who bore the vengeance we deserved and frees us to forgive and love others.

Wisdom is a way of life, not just a set of beliefs or a one-time decision. Proverbs 4 teaches us that wisdom is acquired through a process of apprenticeship to God, which involves receiving instruction, following a path of daily disciplines, guarding one's heart, and cultivating a relationship with Jesus.

Despite our human tendency to hide our true selves from being fully known by a holy God, Psalm 139 teaches us that this God knows us completely and loves us fully and unconditionally. This divine acceptance, which is demonstrated through Jesus Christ, offers us a profound sense of comfort and freedom.

What do you do when your sin is exposed? Hide? Defend? Blame? David tried all of these, until God shattered his self-deception through the prophet Nathan. His famous prayer, “Create in me a pure heart, O God” teaches us as well. While worldly wealth is ultimately fleeting and cannot save anyone from death, true worth and redemption come from trusting in God, who alone can redeem a life from the grave through Jesus Christ. In Psalm 49, we learn that it is foolish to trust in wealth that disappears at death, but infinitely wise to trust in God.

Psalm 19 contrasts modern self-glorification with ancient surrender to God. While today's culture finds meaning in self and materialism, David saw creation and Scripture as revelations of God’s glory. He responded not with pride, but with humility and repentance, urging us to fully surrender our hearts, thoughts, and lives to God.

What if the real problem with the world isn’t out there—but in your own heart? Psalm 14 criticizes not only the atheist, but also the church-going person who believes in God but lives as though He doesn’t exist. In this we learn how the pursuit of autonomy leads to ruin—and how the wisdom of the cross leads to life.

“Do I matter?” — Psalm 8 stands as a helpful reminder that your identity, worth, and meaning are not found in self-achievement or cultural definitions of success. Your true worth is founded on the majestic Creator who formed you, values you, and visits you in the person of Jesus Christ.
