A Fleeting Thought - What's the purpose? ( उद्देशय क्या है?) Arising from mindless actions that we need to introspect upon because being humans of we don't reflect on our action that may cause then who will! This episode starts with mindless plucking of flowers from the garden to our own insensitive behavior. A very good tool for parents to help children understand the importance of empathy, sensitivity, and being mindful!
The song describes the feelings I got when I went to my hometown and what I saw on Tunganath temple trek. The landscape reminded me of my childhood and I started humming the famous Kumaoni song, 'Kaile Baije Muruli', originally written and sung by Shri Gopal Babu Goswami in 1980. This poem is written in 3 parts. The first two parts were written in 2021 after a visit to my Dad's native village in Uttarakhand and these parts are about the beauty and life in the hills. The 3rd part was written after the news related to land subsidence in Joshimath surfaced. Please listen and enjoy the whole poem and think about why we need to save our mountains!
