** FWD is a brand new series of conversations with artists, authors, and curators who are pushing music forward **
Episode 12 welcomes Laurie Torres is a Canadian musician and composer raised in Montréal, Québec by Haitian parents. Since 2008, she has been a trusted stage and studio performer for Julia Jacklin, Pomme, and Land of Talk, as well as being a founding member of Folly & The Hunter, with whom she recorded four studio albums and toured Canada, Europe and the UK.
Episode 11 welcomes TEAL, the Canadian family band project that was 15 years in the making that combines influences so wide-ranging that even the group can't fully describe what they've created. One thing is for sure, we've been absolutely loving all of the music coming from this project so far.
Whether you're a fan of UK Street Soul, Ambiant, classic late 90's Trip-Hop, Dub, Jazz Flute or field recordings of swamps, you'll find something you love in their sonic universe.
