Rob Yates

This episode, Zoe chats with Rob Yates. As an enthusiastic community member, a sustainable activist, and social injustice warrior, Rob Yates has integrated supporting and helping others into his daily life.
Since moving to Thanet in 2017, Rob has fought to improve the quality of life for his neighbours, equality within the community and justice for all residents. He has challenged himself with solving life problems for all the living Margate and surrounding areas. From local councilor to deputy mayor, from CO founding charities to working in renewable energy, Rob has truly become the poster boy for clean, ethical and sustainable living.

As an all round team player, Rob has not been shy to get his hands dirty and fight the good fight, whether beach cleaning with Rise and clean or sporting heels and sequins for Margate pride. Rob Yates is surely Margate⁩'s man of the people, the Thanet fixer, or is he?

This is no political campaign, Zoe and Rob get deep on some big topics. This is an open and honest conversation about life, education, politics, men's mental health, grief, health and surviving in a post pandemic world.

Topics:
Men's mental health
Grief
Education
Sustainability
Green energy
Deprivation
Community
Health
Politics
Family
