Ceremonial Uncleanness, and The Day of Atonement (Leviticus 15-16)

This episode is also available as a blog post: http://heartofashepherd.com/2021/04/01/ceremonial-uncleanness-and-the-day-of-atonement-leviticus-15-16/

Today’s video covers the issue of ceremonial uncleanness in both men, and women in Israel. Any who were deemed unclean, were not to approach the Tabernacle, nor offer sacrifices until they came with an offer of sacrifice, and were pronounced clean by the priest.

The Day of Atonement is also discussed, and it was the one day that the high priest would offer a sacrifice for his sins, and a second sacrifice for the sins of the nation. We will also consider the “scapegoat,” and the reality that Jesus Christ, by His death, burial, and resurrection, is become the substitutionary sacrifice for our sins, and our high priest.
