In this episode Greg and Michael talk about why Bats are important. Not baseball bats, and not batman, but real actual bats. Let's remove any fears and stigmas behind bats and learn to love them!
Today we talk about the unhoused community, or more commonly known as the homeless. Randy breaks down some of the stigmas and we talk about some new perspectives that we will try and gain over the course of our research into this community. Do you have biases against people experiencing homelessness? Do you help those you see on the corner? We can all improve ourselves by helping others, so lets start with some that really need aid.
In this episode Michael interviews Alex. Alex is a non-binary, mother, gamer, and occasional drag performer, and most importantly an ex-foster child who aged out of the system. Listen in as we talk about her trials and struggles in and out of foster care and maybe you'll get a different perspective on the challenges that face these children.
We listen in to clips of the recent interview Michael had with former foster child turned successful adult Alex. Hear our reactions to small bits of the overall interview and how we learned a lot in this process.
In this episode we all bring one interesting thing we learned recently about foster care. We take turns sharing our things and talking about each one! Join us in this episode to find out what we've been discovering surrounding the issues of foster care, and how we think we can help in our own little ways.
Welcome to the For The Hidden podcast. Join Randy, Michael, and Greg as they discuss foster care and the issues that affect today's foster children.
The goal of For The Hidden is to share knowledge of the less publicized problems that plague our world today, and how regular people can help spread hope and goodness to those affected.
