In For A Pessimist, I'm Pretty Optimistic, Mia, a writer, an artist, and a podcaster feels everything sometimes as she navigates this whirlwind of a life. Sometimes, she can be quite optimistic, and sometimes there tends to be a pessimistic cloud over her head that in most cases, refuses to leave her alone; in psychology, it's called bipolar psychosis, but to Mia, it's merely the story of her life; coping and living with it. She unfolds it all and everything in between as she does so with courage, heart, & soul. [ new episodes every Tuesday at 10:00PM PST! ]

S. 3 // EP. 11 ] Coping With Psychosis Delusions And Breaking Repetitive Cycles In Bipolar Psychosis

In episode 11 of season 3, I talk about coping with psychosis delusions and how they can be quite distressing, sometimes I may not even be aware of them occurring at all. Also, I touch upon how psychosis PTSD can really feel a lot like emotionally spiraling. I also talk about breaking repetitive cycles when it comes to this mental disability; truth be told it's not easy at all! For me, it was a lot of sitting with my shadow and breaking my fear of doing so, and understanding the barriers my psychosis creates are breakable. With just a smidge of courage and a will to carry on, anything is possible.
