The news can be a lot sometimes. There’s so much to read and learn about, and with the internet and social media there’s pressure to be locked into everything that’s going on, all the time, and it can be incredibly daunting to know where to start. The answer, is not here, Here, we cover the stories of the trivial, the frivolous, and the inconsequential. From celebrity slip ups, to award show crushers, to mysterious egg disappearances, these stories certainly can’t be considered hard journalism. But boy, are they still interested to yap about.

The Cotroversy Behind Sabrina Capenter's "Man's Best Friend" Album Cover w. Zoe Hercus

Hello listeners! I apologise that it has been a while, BUT I wanted to get this episode out while it was still somewhat timely.

Man's Best Friend by Sabrina Capenter dropped last Friday on 30th August, but was plagued by controversy right from its get-go, with a cover that got internet goers everywhere talking. But was this fair? We'll discuss in this episode referentialism, 50s tropes, choice feminism, and kink culture, with a bit of real feminist theory from our special guest Zoe! So buckle up and enjoy!

The Wonderous World of Ant Smuggling w. (almost) Dr Asser Loutfi

Welcome back, dear listeners!

This week, we'll be doing a deep dive into one of Australia's most prolific (and tiniest) black market imports - ants!

I have an excellent episode in store for you featuring a true professional, the (nearly) PhD-qualified Asser Loutfi, who is talking to us about his experience in the underground trade, featuring tales of professional baby bird killers, tree-climbing licenses, and for the first time ever - crimes are admitted to on the pod!

Strap in for a great time, everyone, and have a fab week!

A Brief History & Analysis of Horny Chefs w. Sam Fonteyn

It's been too long, but we are back with another episode of Footnotes, this week joined by our first-ever guest, Mr Sam Fonteyn!

In this episode, we analyse the rise in prominence of the internet's most sexually frustrated chefs, where this trend came (lol) from, and why people are so disturbed, yet drawn to it.

This episode is also proudly sponsored by my mate Xavier. Everyone say thank you Xavier and Happy Trans Visibility Day for last month! You too, can sponsor the next episode of Footnotes by simply sending me $10 and I'll say whatever you want me to say, including shouting out causes, spreading a positive message, or insulting someone you don' like!

Enjoy this episode everyone!
