Sk: V Bratislave, vo veľkolepom kasíne, ožiarenom svetlom kryštálových lustrov, sa zhromaždili hráči na vysoké stávky.
En: In Bratislava, in a grand casino illuminated by the light of crystal chandeliers, high-stakes players gathered.

Sk: Na bohatých kobercoch boli tiché rozhovory, napätie a očakávanie sa šírilo ako studený vietor vonku, jeseň prinášala svoju chladnú atmosféru.
En: On the rich carpets, silent conversations took place, tension and anticipation spreading like the cold wind outside, as autumn brought its chilly atmosphere.

Sk: Pri jednom z pokerových stolov sedel Marek.
En: Seated at one of the poker tables was Marek.

Sk: Vedel čítať ľudí ako nikto iný.
En: He could read people like no one else.

Sk: Po večeroch hrával, každá hra bola pre neho ako malý boj.
En: He played in the evenings, each game for him was like a small battle.

Sk: Dnes bol však iný večer. Veľký večer.
En: But today was a different evening. A big evening.

Sk: Vedľa neho sedela Zuzana.
