Sk: V popoludní svätoštefansky deň, usadili sa žltohnedé listy spolu s jemným studeným vetríkom na trávniku pred komunitným centrom.
En: On the afternoon of St. Štefan Day, yellow-brown leaves settled along with a gentle cold breeze on the lawn in front of the community center.

Sk: Vnútri, v teplom svetle, sa zhromaždili ľudia, vymieňajúc si pozdravy a úsmevy, pripravení voliť.
En: Inside, in the warm light, people gathered, exchanging greetings and smiles, ready to vote.

Sk: Bol deň miestnych volieb a súčasne sviatok Všechsvätých.
En: It was local election day and simultaneously the holiday of Všechsvätých.

Sk: Pre Jany, pomocníčku s dlhoročnou skúsenosťou, to bol obzvlášť dôležitý deň.
En: For Jana, an assistant with years of experience, it was a particularly important day.

Sk: Jana, žena v stredných rokoch s vrkočom zaveseným na pleci, sa starala o organizáciu dobrovoľníkov.
En: Jana, a middle-aged woman with a braid hanging over her shoulder, was in charge of organizing the volunteers.

Sk: Bolo jej dôležité, aby všetko prebehlo plynulo.
En: It was important to her that everything ran smoothly.

Sk: Vedľa nej stál Marek, nový dobrovoľník.
En: Next to her stood Marek, a new volunteer.

Sk: Jeho oči boli plné očakávania, aj keď trochu nervózne.
En: His eyes were full of anticipation, albeit a bit nervous.

Sk: Prechádzal si pokyny, ktoré zopakovala už niekoľkokrát.
En: He was going over the instructions, which she had repeated several times.

Sk: Zuzana, skúsená kolegyňa, bola opodiaľ, stále oblečená vo svojom starom svetri, krútila hlavou na nové pokyny, ktoré Jana zaviedla tento rok.
En: Zuzana, a seasoned colleague, was nearby, still dressed in her old sweater, shaking her head at the new instructions that Jana implemented this year.

Sk: "Staré spôsoby vždy fungovali," mrmrala si.
En: "The old ways always worked," she muttered to herself.

Sk: Keď sa ťažké dvere centra stále otvárali pre nových voličov, Jana cítila tlak, aby spojila ich úsilie.
En: As the heavy doors of the center kept opening for new voters, Jana felt the pressure to align their efforts.
