Sk: V teplom jesennom dni sa Bratislavou niesol svieži vzduch.
En: On a warm autumn day, a fresh breeze swept through Bratislava.

Sk: Slovenské národné múzeum, veľká budova plná histórie a kultúry, lákalo návštevníkov zo všetkých kútov Slovenska i sveta.
En: The Slovenské národné múzeum, a grand building full of history and culture, attracted visitors from all corners of Slovensko and the world.

Sk: Jozef, stredného veku, stál pred múzeom a čakal na svojho syna Šimona.
En: Jozef, a middle-aged man, stood in front of the museum waiting for his son Šimon.

Sk: Chcel s ním stráviť tento deň na Dušičky a posunúť sa vpred z bolestivej minulosti.
En: He wanted to spend this All Souls' Day with him and move onward from a painful past.

Sk: Mária, Jozefova sestra, bola už vo vnútri múzea.
En: Mária, Jozef's sister, was already inside the museum.

Sk: Ako historička poznala túto budovu lepšie než vlastný dom.
En: As a historian, she knew this building better than her own home.

Sk: Plánovala pomôcť Jozefovi napraviť vzťah so Šimonom.

Sk: "Ahoj, oci," povedal Šimon trochu stroho.
En: "Hi, Dad," said Šimon somewhat brusquely.

Sk: "Dobrý deň, Šimon.
En: "Hello, Šimon.

Sk: Som rád, že si prišiel," odvetil Jozef s nádychom nádeje.
En: I'm glad you came," replied Jozef with a hint of hope.

Sk: V tichu sa presunuli do vnútorných oddelení múzea, kde ich už čakala Mária.
En: In silence, they moved to the inner departments of the museum, where Mária was already waiting for them.

Sk: Viedla ich cez chodby plné starožitností a umeleckých diel.
En: She led them through corridors filled with antiques and works of art.

Sk: Pred každou expozíciou zastavovali, Mária im vysvetľovala význam vystavených predmetov, spojenia s ich predkami.
En: They stopped at each exhibit as Mária explained the significance of the displayed items and their connections to their ancestors.

Sk: Napätie medzi Jozefom a Šimonom kulminovalo pred vitrinou, ktorá vystavovala starú krojovanú truhlu.
