Story Transcript:

En: The air in Hirvepark was crisp in the early morning and filled with the colors of autumn.

Et: Maarja seisis väravate juures, hingates sügavalt sisse.
En: Maarja stood by the gates, taking a deep breath.

Et: Ta tundis, kuidas talvesaabaste kriuks pargis kõndides külma kivi peal.
En: She felt the squeak of her winter boots as she walked on the cold stone.

En: It was the day she had been waiting for.

En: Her goal, along with other volunteers, was to clean up Hirvepark.

En: But Maarja had another hope as well - to find someone who cared about preserving nature as much as she did.

Et: Siim märkas Maarjat esimestena saabujate seas.
En: Siim noticed Maarja among the first arrivals.

Et: Ta naeratas laialt ja lehvitas tervituseks.
En: He smiled broadly and waved in greeting.

Et: Maarja tundis end närvilisena, kuid otsustas olla julge.
En: Maarja felt nervous but decided to be brave.

Et: Ta kõndis Siimi poole.
En: She walked towards Siim.

Et: "Tere!
En: "Hello!

Et: Mina olen Siim," ütles ta rõõmsalt.
En: I'm Siim," he said cheerfully.

Et: Maarja surus kätt.
En: Maarja shook his hand.

En: "Hello, I'm Maarja," she replied quietly.

En: "So, Maarja, are you ready to plant some trees?"

Et: küsis Siim.
En: Siim asked.

Et: Ta pilk oli hea ja sõbralik.
En: His gaze was warm and friendly.

Et: "Jah, muidugi olen valmis," vastas Maarja, kuigi tundis end veidi ebamugavalt.
En: "Yes, of course I'm ready," Maarja replied, although she felt a bit uneasy.

En: They began working together, shoveling soil and planting trees.

Et: Külm õhk värskena näol, nad töötasid vaikuses.
En: The cold air fresh on their faces, they worked in silence.

Et: "Tead, minu esimesel vabatahtlikul üritusel, kukkusin mulda üle pea," ütles Siim naerdes.
En: "You know, at my first volunteer event, I ended up head over heels in the dirt," Siim said with a laugh.

En: "Imagine all that mud and me in the middle of it!"

Et: Maarja hakkas naerma, kujutledes ette pilti.
En: Maarja began to laugh, picturing the scene.

Et: See muretu hetk aitas jää murda.
En: This carefree moment helped break the ice.

En: They shared more stories and discovered they had a lot in common, especially a love for nature.

En: Maarja felt her hidden hope for connection start to come true.

Et: Peagi oli aeg lõpetada.
En: Soon it was time to finish.

Et: Hirvepark nägi välja puhtam ja rohelisem, kuna puud seadsid end juba maapinda kindlalt.
En: Hirvepark looked cleaner and greener, as the trees were already taking firm root in the...
