Story Transcript:

Et: Tallinna vanalinn sumises elu ja värvidega.
En: Tallinna old town buzzed with life and colors.

En: It was autumn, the eve of Mardipäev, and the market square was bustling with people.

En: Kaarel, a spry merchant, stood by his table.

En: Beside him was his young sister Liis, who looked around with bright eyes, ready for adventure.

Et: Nende ümber voolas inimesi igas suunas, lõhnasid kandus õhuga kaasas turuplatsi pealt.
En: Around them, people flowed in all directions, with scents carried through the air from the market square.

En: "Liis, we have to trade well today," said Kaarel, stretching out his hand to lay out his goods more neatly.

Et: "Talv on tulemas."
En: "Winter is coming."

En: "Don't worry, brother," replied Liis, her voice brimming with excitement.

Et: "Mul on plaan."
En: "I have a plan."

En: At the far edge of the market square stood Marek, a competitor who had previously caused Kaarel headaches.

En: This time, he had control over the spices that everyone in the market craved.

En: Spices that Kaarel and his family considered a necessity.

Et: Kaarel mõtles: "Kas peaksin Marekiga tehingu tegema?
En: Kaarel thought: "Should I make a deal with Marek?

Et: Või leidma alternatiivse kauba?"
En: Or find alternative goods?"

Et: Liis krabisev hääl katkestas Kaareli mõtiskluse.
En: Liis's crackling voice interrupted Kaarel's thoughts.

Et: "Tead, Kaarel, rahvast köidab visuaalne draama.
En: "You know, Kaarel, people are drawn to visual drama.

Et: Mardipäeva rongkäik!
En: The Mardipäev procession!

Et: Me võiksime korraldada väikse etteaste."
En: We could organize a little performance."

En: At first, Kaarel doubted, but Liis's determination and enthusiasm convinced him.

Et: Ta nõustus.
En: He agreed.

Et: Õhtu saabudes kogunes rahvas Kaareli turu ette.
En: As evening approached, people gathered in front of Kaarel's market stall.

En: Liis led the Mardipäev procession, carrying lanterns and wearing masks.

Et: Naer ja laul täitsid õhu.
En: Laughter and song filled the air.

Et: Inimesed kogunesid, uudishimulikud ja rõõmsad.
En: People gathered, curious and joyful.

Et: Kuid Liisi energia tekitas kaoseni viiva juhtumi.
En: But Liis's energy led to a chaotic incident.

En: Children, masked in the dark, accidentally ran through Kaarel's table.

En: For a moment, it...
