Cs: Jen vítr šuměl mezi zříceninami domů.
En: Only the wind rustled among the ruins of the houses.

Cs: Na podzim byly ulice plné listí.
En: In autumn, the streets were full of leaves.

Cs: Byly to dny, kdy se nebe nikdy nerozjasnilo, a celé město bylo pod šedým příkrovem.
En: These were the days when the sky never cleared, and the entire city was under a gray shroud.

Cs: Ale v tom tichu bylo něco krásného.
En: But in that silence, there was something beautiful.

Cs: Něco, co říkalo, že stále existuje naděje.
En: Something that said hope still existed.

Cs: Jakub stál u zchátralé budovy.
En: Jakub stood by the dilapidated building.

Cs: Byl to kdysi historický dům, nyní ruina.
