En: The clock strikes six in the morning in the quiet, secluded community.

En: Spring brings new life and color to the neatly trimmed hills and shiny pavement.

En: A "blou reier" calls from the pond as the sun begins to pierce through the row of trees.

Af: Jaco, die middeljarige sekuriteitswag, was al wagend op sy daaglikse oggendpatrollie.
En: Jaco, the middle-aged security guard, was already standing watch on his daily morning patrol.

Af: Hy hou van orde.
En: He likes order.

Af: Sy pa was 'n speurder, en Jaco wil in sy voetspore volg.
