Af: Annelie en Pieter staan langs 'n vaal pad.
En: Annelie and Pieter stand next to a dusty road.

Af: Hul asems maak wit wolkies in die koue oggend.
En: Their breath makes white clouds in the cold morning.

Af: Annelie is opgewonde.
En: Annelie is excited.

Af: Sy vertel al weke van die legende van 'n versteekte skat naby 'n waterval.
En: She has been talking for weeks about the legend of a hidden treasure near a waterfall.

Af: "Kom Pieter, dit is nou of nooit," sê Annelie met 'n glinster in haar oë.
