En: Jaco, full of leadership ambition but inexperienced, proudly says, "I know exactly the way. Follow me!"

Daar's dalk 'n storm later."
En: Annelie, always well-prepared with her maps and weather app, suggests, "Let's rather check the weather. There might be a storm later."

En: But Jaco doesn't listen; his excitement is simply too great.

En: Pieter, with unchanging calmness, says, "Let's go and see what happens. But we really need to be prepared."

En: They walk up the path, the autumn-colored leaves crunching under their boots.

En: The air is cool, and the light breeze creates a feeling of freedom.

En: The mountains are quiet, only the sounds of nature surround them.

En: As they walk, Annelie starts to look more and more worried.

Af: Sy sien die wolke sak toe oor die berge.
En: She sees the clouds descending over the mountains.

En: "Jaco, we must take the weather seriously," she says.

En: Jaco ignores her and instinctively decides to stray from the existing route.

En: "It's part of the adventure," he assures them.

En: Pieter just shrugs and follows along, certain that everything will work out.

Af: Maar skielik, soos hulle'n steil roete afneem, breek die storm onverwags los.
En: But suddenly, as they descend a steep path, the storm unexpectedly breaks.

En: Rain lashes against the rocks and the wind howls through the ravines.

En: Jaco becomes panicked, his inexperience now showing.

En: They have no choice but to seek shelter.

Af: Gelukkig ontdek Annelie 'n grot net 'n entjie verder.
En: Luckily, Annelie discovers a cave just a short distance away.
