En: The Drakensberge have rocky peaks that stand proudly under the fleeting autumn sun in the cool wind.

Af: Lukas, 'n ervare stapper en paramedikus, voel tuis hier.
En: Lukas, an experienced hiker and paramedic, feels at home here.

Af: Dit is Paasnaweek, en hy lei 'n groep stappers op 'n ekspedisie.
En: It is Easter weekend, and he is leading a group of hikers on an expedition.

Af: Sy entoesiasme vir die avontuur is tasbaar.
En: His enthusiasm for the adventure is palpable.

Af: Anika, sy jarelange vriend, stap langs hom.
En: Anika, his longtime friend, walks beside him.
