Zh: 村子正沉浸在中秋节的欢乐中,月亮又大又圆。
En: The village was immersed in the joy of the Zhongqiu Jie (Mid-Autumn Festival), and the moon was large and round.

Zh: 彩灯挂满广场,空气中充满了月饼的香味。
En: Colorful lanterns were hung all over the square, and the air was filled with the aroma of yuebing (mooncakes).

Zh: 村里的广场中心正举行着一年一度的吃月饼比赛。
En: The annual mooncake-eating contest was taking place at the center of the village square.

Zh: 魏,村里的幽默大王,站在比赛的人群中。
En: Wei, the humor king of the village, stood among the contest participants.

Zh: 他一直想证明自己不仅仅是个只会搞笑的人。
En: He had always wanted to prove that he was more than just a jokester.

Zh: 他特别想赢得这次比赛,好让大家刮目相看。
En: He particularly wanted to win this contest so that everyone would look at him with new eyes.

Zh: 然而,魏有个小秘密:他其实吃不了太多甜月饼,总会吃到腻。
En: However, Wei had a little secret: he actually couldn’t handle too many sweet mooncakes and would always find them cloying.
