I am back, BIPOC AA/PI lovelies. I did a thing and wrote a second book. Hoodoo Saints & Root Warriors: Stories and Magick for Liberation. Let's talk about that time away from you and my journey into the far reaches of writing. I also want to dive back into The Next World Tarot by Cristy C. Road. The 4 of Wands wants us to find a slice of joy each day. We can't let our enthusiasm for life dwindle because of the obvious bullshit going on. We have got to fight through the inflammation that is America and begin to heal ourselves whole. We got this; let's move together.
This episode is about using your strength purposefully but paying attention to your safety financially, physically, and emotionally. This episode is about realizing that we are the only ones willing to liberate our story.
Life can be challenging and we all demand moments of self-care. However, we can't escape the life that pays the bills. We can take rejuvenation breaks and then refocus so that nothing catches us off guard. Look with your eyes, hear with your ears, and love with your heart.
The Five of Swords is a reminder to check your crew. Find out if the shade is hate or the recognition that their lives are stagnant for the moment but they understand the tide is constantly turning. Sometimes we keep folks around because we are afraid of the work it takes to meet new folks. Stop hoarding bad grass, if they can't prove their change, they haven't' changed.
I have been gone for a while writing, editing, speaking and tending to life. It's amazing how when you become a magickal person your whole life becomes one ongoing spell that intertwines all your spiritual resources, and you just keep channeling. 2023 will witness my book published by Llewellyn Worldwide and I am extremely happy about that. I hope you all join me in showering that baby. I also in this episode want to give you an Esu placeholder to discuss crossroad themes with. I want to encourage journaling your thoughts and any takeaways. I also want us to contemplate how we can support those affected by the Supreme Court's rulings. Be safe, be loved and love others back.
The world is spinning in a ball of rage. We are met too often by violence and hate crimes. How do we protect our own and still try and live in harmony with our families? Esu is about making the choices that fit you and not following the pack simply because a pack exists. Liberation is about protecting our sanity and the sanity of those we love. Every decision comes with a bag of consequences. What will you decide?
As one moves from Christianity to more Nature Based practices you may find it difficult to leave behind your fun filled traditions. Many are not aware of the connection to Pagan practices that hover over Christian beginnings. Even some Christians don't know that the return of the Sun is just that marking the Sun's return or that all cultures have a Messiah story of rebirth. You can have your Spirituality and your Easter bunny too is all I'm saying.
Often we feel that life owes us for just being. Well, that shit ain't true!!! We owe it to ourselves to plod along planning out the course we want but making allowances for when life throws a curve. There is no perfect lover, perfect house, job, or child. They all happen and we take from them what we can shape into success for as long as that success will have us.
As we learn to live life in the pandemic many of us are choosing to rush into grown folks living with our common sense tucked inside our asses. We are hitching our desires to the coattails of others who for the moment see us as useful but what happens when we no longer serve to fit into their script? Langston Hughes wrote a poem about Dreams Deferred, go re-read it.
Living in the midst of a pandemic can make you feel like throwing caution to the wind and recreating the life you want. As Arthur Leander said, "I don't want to live the wrong life and then die." Be a dreamer but be careful not to let America's fickle restructuring clash with your newfound liberation. All our lives are in retrograde, but we have got to move with smarts.
I like to think of Saturn Returns as being jaded, not being jaded, and then finally not giving a fuck. Living is hard work, not just making it through the birth canal but dancing through bullshit on a daily. Saturn reminds us that we can either learn from living or get caught up in our feelings because others have survived-bandaged and bruised but alive.
The Last bits of ME!!!
This episode is an explanation of the ways Pluto's Return can affect our monetary systems. It is not about spreading FEAR but rather about educating folks on how to plan for any outcome.
So often we can't wait to grow up but what does it mean to grow up? Is growing up the ticket to being as asshole or is it the time to evaluate your place in the world by the talents of those who saw you thus far. we don't live this life on our own somebody somewhere has cultivated our dreams and wiped our assess way back when we thought shit went in our mouths and not in the toilet.
The WTF Awards are back!!! This episode is about how we move without a plan. We let the fire lead us on a journey that can be rehabilitating and debilitating all in the same ember. In the end our emotional state leaves use wanting to blame others for manipulating our course. It's your life man or woman up to the fact that you got to deal with the consequences for truth.
