Equestrian movement update: changes are coming!

Over the coming months there will be some changes at equestrian movement.

The big one is, I'm pregnant! So I will be having term 3 off for maternity leave. As a result Sarah and I are trying to wrangle this beast that is equestrian movement and downsize our work.

What this means for you:

- The podcast will be changing from weekly to fortnightly

- Equestrian movement will be getting rebranded under the face to face school branding of equestrian spirit.

- Therefore there will be changes to email addresses, websites and socials

- There won't be any live trainings this year (ie webinars, coaching, live coaching support through the programs)

- Sarah and I will be revisiting these decisions next year to see if there will be any live coaching next year.

Please reach out if you have any questions or need further support through this transition at

Connection theory is lame

Connection and emotion, bleh who'd have it. However, both us and our horses don't function in isolation of connection, emotion and relationship and to be honest if that's what we really wanted from horse riding we would ride motorbikes.

Join us in this episode as I discuss why connection training is the foundation of our riding school lessons.

Science, Empathy & Feel. All together complimenting each other. Drawing on the immense wealth of research and logic in these three modalities my horses, my clients and I are sculpting a "Middle Path" of horse training which avoids extreme binaries. You know what binaries are: R+ versus R-. Classical versus Western. Etc. We avoid that and opt for a middle path that is inclusive of all. Creating unique training techniques that are simple to follow and kind to the horse. If you wish to use food reward, you can. If you don't, you don't have to. What we don't use is dominance or escalating pressure. The goal? A performance relationship with your horse that is effortless, inspiring and enjoyable. Emotional horsemanship serves private horse owners who wish to have life long bonds with their horses, versatile and adaptable equine athletes who enjoy tackling a variety of tasks. Recently, a lot of professionals have engaged in Emotional Horsemanship as they are curious about it and/or needed private support behind the scenes of their own equine professional activities. The pre-requisite? To be deeply caring and open minded.
