In this final episode, Watchman Nee’s words ring clear: “God wants us to have no activity outside of Him.” Here the root of all defeat is exposed—self-reliance. The Father is not asking how good our work looks, but who is doing it. Sin is a living power that rules wherever self is active.
Even the best deeds, when sourced in self, are dead works before Him. The call is simple: stop living from independence and start living from the Son. Adam ate of independence and became one with sin. The invitation of the gospel is to eat of Christ and become one with Life Himself.

Romans 3:23 says: “Since all have sinned and are falling short of the honor and glory which God bestows and receives.” For years, many of us have heard this as failing to live up to God’s standard. But Paul is pointing to something far deeper. To fall short of the glory is to miss Christ Himself.

Paul’s life was completely turned inside out. The same man who once thrived in the synagogue, confident in his intellect and ability to teach, was brought to nothing so that only Christ could remain. In this episode, we follow how the Father stripped away everything born of independence and self-assurance until Paul no longer lived from the tree of knowledge but from the life of the Son. What once made him proud was now counted as loss, and what once defined his worth was touched by the Father’s hand. This is where ministry ends and fatherhood begins — when a man no longer works for God, but moves from His life.

When the Father exposes the self-life, He is not asking us to repair it—He is revealing that it cannot be repaired.
