Mahlon Mitchell became a firefighter at age 19. He rose through the ranks to become a Lieutenant at Station #1 in Wisconsin’s capital city of Madison, where he still serves and lives today with his wife, April, and two kids, Sie’anna and Karson. Mahlon is now running for General President of the International Association of Fire Fighters in 2020.

Lee Phillips is a fitness professional, firefighter, athlete and model from London. He represents the first service on several fronts including being on the front of men's fitness magazines and in fitness competitions around the world. Lee is also serving as a fire fighter on London's only fire boat. He also supports non-profits and other organizations and businesses supporting fire fighters and other charities.

Detective Aaron Velarde from the Bernalillo County Sheriff Department (BCSD) is our guest today. BCSD has a long history with the Bernalillo County Fire Department (BCFD) and our host Robert Sanchez. They discuss the long inter-agency relationship and how law enforcement and the fire service interact on a regular basis from emergency response and crime response to department cooperation.

Oklahoma Smoke Divers! These guys are not only bada**es but are helping to take firefighter training to the next level. Our guests are Chad Miller and Bryan Lloyd of the Oklahoma Smoke Diver Association. Both are District Chiefs for Tulsa Fire Department (TFD). The organization conducts advanced firefighter training known as the Oklahoma Smoke Diver course. The association allows Smoke Diver instructors a philanthropic platform to improve the fire service.

SPECIAL EPISODE - We have General President Harold Schaitberger with us today! General President of the International Association of Firefighters since 2000. Harold A. Schaitberger is the ninth president in the IAFF's 100-year history, and was the first to have been elected by acclamation in 2000. And in 2019 the IAFF endorsed Joe Biden for President - hear the reason why General President Schaitberger believes Biden is the best person for the job.

Charlie was a Captain of a Specialized Rescue Company for the last 11 years of his service. This weeks guest on FireFighter Kingdom is Cpt. Adam VanGerpen is a Fire Captain with the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) and also currently 2nd Vice President with United Firefighters of Los Angeles, Local 112.

Cpt. Ramon Martinez is a veteran fire arson investigator with the Fire Investigations Division (FID). And is a 17 year veteran in fire service. Martinez' career started as a firefighter from the Albuquerque Fire Department (AFD). We go over his background, the basics of fire investigation, what to look for, how it works, and the law enforcement aspect.

Part 2 of our interview with Lt. David Lujan of the Bernalillo County Helicopter Rescue. David Lujan has served for almost 14 years in the fire service and is also as the Public Information Officer (PIO) for Bernalillo County Fire Department. This is a great episode that goes over more of a community aspect as a member of the public (Vince) interviews David and asks questions about hiking preparation to avoid being rescued. A viral helicopter rescue from the news, and other public recommendations to stay safe while outdoors.

Dennis is the president of the Washington State Council of Fire Fighters (WSCFF) and also a 33 year veteran of the fire service who has served in multiple roles over the years and brings tons of knowledge. Dennis goes over some of the early COVID-19 reactions from Washington State who was hit hard early on, had some of the first U.S. deaths from the coronavirus, and had several fire fighters test positive. He goes over many topics from the public safety and view from a fire fighters perspective. And discusses some of what to look for going forward.
