Finding Pattersby is a weird fiction mystery about a disgraced ghostwriter who uses his investigation of a legendary, missing thriller author to work through some stuff.
Also the ghostwriter’s a liar.
Join host Ryan Cervantes as he delves into the underworld of the suspense-thriller book industry and uncover the Truth behind Luke Pattersby’s mysterious disappearance.
Part travelogue, part horror story, all tongue-in-cheek mindbender, he’ll face a rogues gallery of eccentric authors, corporate monstrosities, dark academia and cultish readerships as Cervantes’ slice-of-life detective saga threatens to become the type of thriller novel he once wrote.
In other words: The following events are fake. The story however...is real.
New chapters release last Thursday of every month; bi-weekly updates in between.

Ahead of the upcoming release of Chapter 4: Part II this week, let's catch up with what's happened so far in the story.
Probably the most important thing to know is that Ryan wrote an ORIGINAL manuscript with mature tech themes set against the backdrop of Y2K titled "Overclock" that is not stolen.
Ryan's enterprising agent J. Jordan St. Avalon thinks "Overclock" might have legs and is currently reading it to see if Ryan deserves an invite back to the industry.
Ryan did not steal this idea from Lydia Graumann, the Head of the Luke Pattersby Official Fan Club. He read her manuscript (which she forgot to put her name on) but it reminded him of a desk-drawer novel he had already written that had a few *barely* similar details.
Did you know we are selling shirts: https://www.patterspod.com/
Y2K was a big event that affected many and we are still studying its effect on society.
Let's see what else? Ryan was shown a mysterious mansion owned by Tawny Gatherbrook - leader of The Children of the Thrill, the shadowy group of authors tacitly responsible for the disappearance of Luke Pattersby and the last person to see him alive Fiona Caruso.
Monomyth Publishing sponsors this group and it's fair to say that as far as this investigation goes, we haven't heard the last of this organization.

Announcement time!
Our Fiona Caruso voice actress is a book author named Lily Sparks and she has a cool as hell dystopian, YA sci-fi romance/adventure coming out called "The Merciless King of Moore High."
(You may know her from the beloved Teen Killers Club series).
Here is premise:
When all the adults in tiny Brockton, Connecticut morph into monsters overnight, the teens barricade themselves in their high schools and develop different societies.
Hard-partying Moore builds a neo-feudal society based on a popular video game where everyone goes out and slays the "dragons."
Prestigious magnet school Jefferson lives in the dark, sending out their athletes to raid for canned goods while their student council debates how to avoid starvation.
They know they must slay the monsters, or become them. But when these factions meet again after almost a year, they only want to conquer each other.
The Merciless King of Moore High comes out April 23, 2024. Pre-order today: https://a.co/d/7jCE0BI
Of course I’ve read this book. It’s really cool, it has teens and intrigue and romance but what I love about it is the emotion. This is respectable dystopian sci-fi packaged as a blockbuster.
Right now there is a Goodreads.com book giveaway going on for The Merciless King of Moore High. You can win one of 5 copies!

Today in the feed we are thrilled to share an episode of "Love Makers" hosted by Cora Cuba.
Cora is an Authoress, Witch, Proud Mom and Counselor to Love Makers Worldwide.
(full disclosure: Cora and I were in the same cult for about a month's time before both realizing it wasn't for us. Following that we were roommates for almost a year, she helped me get an interview at H&R Block and I made it to the next round but did not continue further that tax season).
Suffice to say Cora is an amazing lifecoach!
(containts sexual themes and frank discussion of family strife)

We are excited to share with you the trailer for Season 3 of sci-fi comedy The Stench of Adventure. It's funny and fun as heck:
Stella Thomas had spent her whole life trying (and failing) to be a good daughter, friend, and partner. Then one day none of that matters because it turns out that her entire world was a simulation. Now Stella is thrust into a cold and uncaring universe, armed only with memories of a planet Earth that never existed.Just when it seems there is nothing in the world for her, Stella is whisked away by a fast-talking totally-not-con-woman named Baz, who promises her a life of adventure exploring the galaxy. Well, she wasn’t lying about the adventure, but it’s not entirely what Stella expected.
The Stench of Adventure is a sci-fi comedy podcast from Strong Branch Productions. Season 3 releasing now!
SURPRISE: an emergency dispatch so Ryan can continue healing while deciding what is a hoax and what is No-Ax (short for "Not Actually") - happening. Meatplanes and more as Teri Delongpre reads nearly 2 full chapters from popular Luke Pattersby thriller "Father Crime," starring the hit character Theo Sultan.
warning: some cusses
Music by Erik Jourgensen
Ryan C. addresses rumors that are circulating and attempts to quash (AND squash) some speculation before things get too out of hand. We also hear from Teri Delongpre as he reads a passage from Luke Pattersby's taut island thriller, "The Shrunken Man."
