The goal of spirituality is not to become something different or other than we are. The goal is to find ourselves. When we find ourselves, then we find peace, joy, strength, and contentment.
In this episode, we look at the foundational meaning of finding meaning. We look at the fact that the spiritual journey is about understanding that we live in an illusion, and we must discover our true self.
The false reality is based in transactional behavior. That is to say, we barter for everything. Be it religion, economics, politics, needs and wants. We barter, we have become creatures of transaction, and that has kept us from our authentic self to some measure.
It sounds cliché however, what comes with a spiritual journey is a deep self appreciation. A deep like and a deep love for who you really are. Why? Because who you really are is love. And if who we really are is love, then we must love ourselves, if we’re practicing a healthy spirituality.
The spiritual journey is actually not a journey! The spiritual journey is a realization that you have always been who you’re supposed to be. The problem is we are told. We are so many things other than us, that we lose ourselves in the world. Enlightenment, salvation, transformation Are all about realization.
We are trying to get back to the garden of Eden aren’t we? We are trying to get back to that moment when we realize that all things are right with who we are. Spirituality is that quest!
Our technology has exceeded our ability to live out of truth. Because of that our technology is being used to manipulate and to deepen the false reality we live in. Take a listen.
