n this episode my guests are Sarah Hughes MS specialist nurse and Adam Williams psychologist. We discussed how much anxiety and depression is prevalent in Multiple sclerosis, is it more common in MS than healthy population? We covered if depression and/or anxiety causes more cognitive problems, worsens MS symptoms and overall quality of life, or maybe causes lack of motivation and more disability living with MS.
Sarah highlighted importance of self- management and wellness programmes to increase quality of life, fatigue, symptom management including depression and anxiety living MS.
We discussed lifestyle and biological factors that influence the relationship between mental health and low-grade inflammation.
