You know that feeling when you meet someone and it just clicks? 😭 That’s exactly what happens when Samantha tries to rescue a stray cat and ends up falling for the swoony vet, Xavier (yes, a hot vet—you're welcome). But just when things are getting good, life throws a curveball, and she has to move to care for her mom.
This book gave me all the feels—funny, romantic, emotional in the best way. Abby Jimenez really said, “here’s your next book hangover.” 💔✨
✨ Saddle up, besties, because today we’re talking two-ish slow-burn love stories from Elsie Silver’s Rose Hill series — and they could not be more emotionally satisfying. In Wild Eyes, we get a soft, healing romance between Skyler Paige — a world-famous singer running on empty — and West, the quiet horse trainer who offers her the peace she didn’t know she needed. It’s gentle, intimate, and full of quiet moments that wreck you in the best way. Then there’s Wild Side, where we meet Tabitha — a fiercely independent restaurant owner raising her nephew — and Rhys, a pro wrestling star with a bruised soul and a soft heart. Their chemistry? Instant. The emotional stakes? So real. This one brings the heat, the feels, and a whole lot of tenderness behind that bad-boy image.Whether you're in the mood for a love that soothes or one that slams you like a wrestling move (in a good way), this episode is for you 💕🐎🔥
kay but… exes to lovers? In a small town? With cowboy tension? Yeah, I was seated. In this episode, we’re diving into Wild and Wrangled by Lyla Sage — where Camille, a single mom trying to start fresh, ends up living next door to her high school ex, Dusty. He’s still broody, still hot, and still very much the man who shattered her heart. What follows? Slow burn. Snarky tension. Emotional flashbacks. And enough “will-they-won’t-they” to keep you up way too late flipping pages. We’re talking:💔 second chances (with actual character growth)🏡 next-door neighbor drama👩👧 single mom softness🐎 small-town chaos and cowboy vulnerability (the best kind)If you’re in your “I want my books to feel like a hug but also ruin me a little” era, this one's for you.
Small-town. Single dad chaos. Shirtless cooking. Need I say more? 🍓You know those books that just feel like a warm hug (with a side of pancakes and a shirtless grumpy single dad)? 🍓 Yeah, that’s The Strawberry Patch Pancake House by Laurie Gilmore.Archer is a world-renowned chef (and single dad) who definitely did not plan on moving to a tiny town to run a diner. But his daughter (who he just found out about) needs him — and honestly, he needs her too. Cue Iris: a free spirit who's never held down a job longer than a few months, now signing up to be Archer’s live-in nanny. No big deal... until your hot new boss lives right across the hall, cooks topless (!!), and suddenly "keeping it professional" sounds a lot harder than it should be. Slow-burn tension? Check. Found family feels? Check. Chaotic adorable kid? Double check. If you're craving small-town cozy, grumpy-sunshine vibes, and a romance that’s equal parts sweet and spicy — this is the one
So listen… First-Time Caller by B.K. Borison is the soft, late-night, emotionally vulnerable kind of romance that sneaks up on you in the best way. It starts with Lucie’s daughter calling into a radio show to find her mom a date (icon behavior), and from there we get anonymous phone calls, slow-burn tension, and a grumpy host who is not ready for the chaos Lucie brings.
Aiden and Lucie have this magnetic pull — even when they don’t know who they’re talking to. It’s quiet. Intimate. And full of those heart-squeezing moments that make you wanna hug the book.
If you’re into single mom romances, small towns, late-night convos that turn into something more, or stories that just feel like a safe place? You’re gonna love this one.
Come hang out. Let’s talk about soft love and grumpy radio boys 📻💛

Instant obsession with Lucy Score's newest book. The perfect mixture of realistic comedy and the cuteness of a small town. Seriously she knocked it out of the park! I would say this was a 2.5/5 spice and I will definitely be recommending this book to everyone!
I am unwell. This book and its second, wow. Its post apocalyptic, forbidden romance with guard and prisoner, we've got very much "touch her and die". girl. obsessed.
Do you believe in fate or free will when it comes to love? What about if your family members receive visions of their soulmates? I loved this story! I loved the characters and how much they grew, and the best friends to lovers trope!
Forbidden, age gap, and a 3.5/5 spice=obsessed.
