The Two Way Test

* Life is full of tests—moments designed not to punish, but to reveal what’s truly in our hearts. From everyday decisions like patience and humility to major areas like finances and relationships, God’s testing us to shape us into who we’re called to be. Like Israel before entering the promised land, these seasons of testing are vital for our growth and preparation.

In this message, we’ll explore the biblical foundation of tests—God’s purpose isn’t to harm but to develop trust, obedience, and character in us. We’ll see how every test serves as a confirmation of what’s already inside, and how passing them positions us for blessings and fruitfulness.

Key Highlights:

* The Purpose of Testing: God tests us to develop patience, humility, and trust—especially when it comes to our finances and priorities.

* God’s Invitation to Test Him: Malachi 3:10 challenges us to "test" God through tithing—revealing His promise to bless and open the floodgates of heaven.

* Understanding Tithing in Perspective: Whether under the law or grace, giving willingly and cheerfully aligns our hearts with God’s kingdom.

* The True Test of Our Hearts: It’s not just about what we know but about what we do—our attitude, obedience, and trust matter most.

* Three Critical Areas of the Test: Heart, Stewardship, and Priority. Your financial choices are reflections of what’s truly important to you.

* Living Open-Handed: Every day is an opportunity to choose generosity over greed, trust over worry, and obedience over hesitation.

* Turning Tests into Testimonies: When we trust God, even in tough times, we open the door to His blessings, purpose, and future.

This isn’t just about money—it’s about aligning your entire life with God’s plan. It’s about trusting His promises, living with purpose, and letting your faith move from belief into action.

Outside The Circle

This is Week 5 of our series Circles, where we're learning how God's Word guides us in strengthening the relational circles in our lives. This series isn’t just about building better relationships—it's about divine realignments. God is repositioning some of us for greater impact and deeper joy, helping us step into His chosen connections that will change our life's course.

Last week, we explored our inner circle and our relationship with God—the foundation of everything. Today, we dive into the outer circle—the people outside our immediate circle, those who feel different or even uncomfortable to us. These are our neighbors, co-workers, people at the store, even those we might ignore or block on social media. The question is: how do we relate to them?

Our key verse is Colossians 4:5-6:

"Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone."

Why do outsiders matter?

Because they matter to God. They are loved by Him, and many are in our lives for a reason. Just like the early Christians in Colossae—who faced hostility, rejection, and persecution—they refused to retreat or water down their faith. Instead, they made a difference by living intentionally and boldly.

In a culture filled with division and deception, they stood firm, refusing to compromise. They knew Christ and carried His presence into the outside world, fulfilling the Great Commission: "Go and preach the Gospel to all nations." Their lives weren’t just about getting by—they were about making an impact.

Our faith was never meant to be hidden. Remember, light doesn’t need permission to shine—darkness cannot overcome it. The resistance you encounter may be a sign that you're on the right track.

Loving the outsiders means being wise in our manner, our moment, and our message:

Wisdom in our manner:

Mind your words — be gracious, kind, and respectful. Jesus said, "Let your words always be full of grace and seasoned with salt." Our words should preserve, heal, and attract others to Christ, not offend or push away. We’re called to be witty, engaging, and loving—never abrasive or rude.

Wisdom in our moment:

Seize divine appointments. Be proactive in noticing opportunities God puts in your path. Whether it's a new neighbor, a co-worker, or a cashier at the store—these moments are orchestrated by God for meaningful connections. Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s lead and respond in faith.

Wisdom in our message:

Always be ready to share the hope you have. Your story, your church, your faith—these can be powerful bridges. Share the Gospel confidently, using words that are honest, compassionate, and truthful. Remember, our goal is to win hearts, not arguments.

Love and truth go hand in hand. Grace without truth is meaningless. Truth without grace is harsh. Together, they bring healing and transformation.

Ask yourself:

Are my actions and words drawing people closer to Jesus, or pushing them away?

Be intentional. Be wise. Make the most of every divine opportunity.

Because, ultimately, guiding others to Christ is the heartbeat of our faith. Let's step out boldly, shining His light into the outer circle with wisdom, love, and grace. Are you ready?

Your inner Circle

In this message, we talk about how the people you surround yourself with can make all the difference. Your inner circle influences who you are, the choices you make, and where your life is headed. Jesus was intentional about His closest friends—and we need to be too.

In Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, we see how important it is to have the right people in your corner. They help you grow, keep you steady, and push you toward your purpose.

Today, social media makes you think you’re close with a lot of people, but real friends—those who genuinely support you, challenge you, and want the best for you—are gold.

This message will help you see if your circle is helping you become more like Jesus or holding you back. It’s time to evaluate and build relationships that strengthen you and point you toward God and all He has for your life.

Joshua showed us that neutrality isn't an option. In a world eager to blur the lines, we must clarify our convictions, stand on God’s Word, and be clear with our children about what we believe and why. Faith isn't just taught—it's caught through our actions, consistency, and love.

Our kids need truth in a world full of mixed messages. It’s our responsibility to protect them, guide them, and be the models they can look up to. Let’s commit to defending the line, standing firm in faith, and leading our families with courage and grace.
