Perfectionism prevents productivity.  As an artist the goal should be to grow and learn.  Its harder to do that when you are stuck in a perfectionist mindset.  It can cause procrastination, and even keep you from starting something. release that pressure to be perfect and just shoot for completion.  Try your best to bring your vision to life, but at some point you have to call it done, so you can move on and keep creating.
