This week, I share my grief story and how celebrating Dia de Los Muertos has been very healing as I mourn my family members that have passed on. I also bring to light that on my birthday day this year, my Abuelito passed away and how I feel super honored that he transitioned on my actual birthday. Even though, I didn't have a relationship with him or got to grow up with him, I always longed for him to be a part of my life and I was making an more intentional effort to practice my Spanish for the day I got to go to Mexico and visit him. Although, meeting him will never happen now, I finally get to share something with him, September 8th. Even though, my family is devastated of his passing, I feel a bit closer to him because he earned his angel wings on my day of birth. This episode was near and dear to my heart.
