Welcome to Everything Dog Training! Dog training can be confusing. There is so much information on the internet, the opinions of friends, family and colleagues and the guy down the pub who has had dogs for years. Some of it works, some of it doesn't. Some ifs great for you, for your dog, other training techniques hurt the relationship between you and your dog.
Cut through the clutter, the folklore and myth and find out what is best for you and your dog.

My guest this week is Leeron Liftik, a trainer and behaviour consultant in California. Leeron has extensive experience with shelter dogs and we had a really cool conversation. "Dogs are dogs; let them be that. The area I am called on most frequently to support is helping medium and high-drive personality working breeds to integrate into companion-level homes. My approach is creating change at an emotional level to impact behaviours informed by the resilience conditioning framework. By focusing on holistically meeting the animal's needs from an integrative platform, any maladaptive coping mechanisms inherently become obsolete. I maintain specialty in treating fear-based behaviours, aggression, separation related behaviours and gestational development for puppies. I work with dogs from all sorts of background but far and away have the most experience with shelter and rescue animals and they represent my preferred population."You can reach him via his Facebook page.https://www.facebook.com/ProfessionalDogNerd
