When four friends (Jennifer Love Hewitt, Freddie Prinze Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Ryan Phillippe) hit someone with their car after a night of partying on July 4th, they decide to dump the body in the ocean and never discuss it again.  One year later, the quartet starts getting threatening letters, and bodies start piling up as someone is aware of their actions and looking for revenge.  Zach and Chris discuss how Ryan Phillippe is a psychopath from the start, how the killer is more interested in pranks than killing for a large portion of the movie, the bizarre topography of Southport, how the iconic "What are you waiting for?!?!" scene was directed by a kid who won a contest, and more.
