This episode focuses on our first approach, which didn’t work as planned. The next episode will show how we rebuilt it into a successful, scalable solution.
This podcast presents our earliest attempt at integrating AI with ERPNext. It captures the initial concepts, the challenges we encountered, and the foundation of what later became a more optimized solution.
We are publishing it because the journey matters — not just the final result. Early versions help others understand what worked, what didn’t, and why we made certain architectural choices later on.
Since recording this, we have built a new version that is faster, more scalable, and more flexible for real-world environments. That improved version will be released soon.
But sharing the first version now gives context, transparency, and a learning path for those exploring AI in ERPNext. It shows the evolution, not just the end product.
In this episode, we explore the ERPNext Project module, the backbone of efficient planning, execution, and billing in ERPNext. Trainers from ERPGulf walk you through real Gulf-region use cases — from construction and manufacturing projects to service contracts and consultancy workflows.
We’ll cover:
Ideal for project managers, ERP consultants, and businesses adopting ERPNext for construction, contracting, or service-based industries.
This podcast unpacks how to connect ZKTeco / BioTime devices with Frappe/ERPNext the way we do it at ERPGulf — clean, automated, and production-ready. We talk through real HR/Payroll scenarios: employees punching on biometric devices, data landing in ERPNext, attendance auto-created, and payroll getting accurate working hours without manual Excel cleaning. Each episode we break down one piece of the pipeline — BioTime API, device-to-server sync, mapping employees, fixing duplicate punches, handling night shifts, overtime, and multi-branch setups. We’ll also cover common Gulf requirements (Arabic names, different weekends, grace periods), and how to extend the integration with webhooks, background jobs, and custom scripts in Frappe. If you maintain ERPNext for HR teams and want “biometric → attendance → payroll” to just work, this is for you.
