5. La familia en la cultura latina

In this episode I'll help you with information and I'll give you some questions that you can ask your patients to ask about the family, La Familia.

Asking a Latino/Hispano patient about the family, you have to be prepared to receive information beyond the father, mother and children.

Latinos maintain a very close relationship with the extended family.

Uncles, cousins, grandparents and great-grandparents are often present in the most important moments and in the daily life of your patients.

You can learn more about improving your medical Spanish with free resources here

It is very important for health professionals to take these questions into account and how to formulate them correctly in Spanish in order to communicate adequately with their Spanish-speaking patients.

šŸ‘‰ If you want to check the questions in English and Spanish, you can read the blog post here.

šŸ‘‰ if you want to get a weekly free Medical Spanish mini lesson directly in your inbox, join my group Medicine in Spanish with Ana GTĀ  here.

šŸ‘‰ If you want to lear even more, I have been working on these mini audio courses that I would like to start offering you in case you want to try a new way of learning.
