For the misfits who wore their hearts on their sleeves and their headphones in their ears—our scars are a part of us, and our stories are worth sharing. Here, we embrace the angst, the nostalgia, and the soundtracks that shaped us. We're not just the kids who grew up on emo and pop-punk; we're the adults who carry that music in our souls, still finding meaning in every riff and lyric. This is a space for healing, laughing, remembering, and redefining what it means to grow up while never letting go of the music that helped us survive. Welcome to Emo Kids Anonymous Podcast

70. Camp Trash: Bryan & Levi Go Maniac Mode on Mitch McConnell, The Hold Steady, and How They'd Spend $200,000 | Emo Kids Anonymous

WHY ARE THEY HERE? WHO HAVE THEY COME FOR? WHEN WILL THEY LEAVE?

Bryan and Levi from Camp Trash came on the pod in anticipation of their new album Two Hundred Thousand Dollars, available today!

In this conversation, Bryan and Levi talk about everything from the bands formation to Florida and everything inbetween. We discuss their experiences with technical difficulties, the challenges of home insurance in Florida (super riveting!), and the impact of the pandemic on their music. They explore the role of Discord in connecting with fans, the dynamics of parasocial relationships, and the Bradford families upbringing in a religious environment. Seriously, how is their so many Bradford Bros (and sisters)!? And do they all have takes as hot as Levi and Keegan? Mitch McConnell, count your days big dawg (JK Officer Forest).

The band also shares insights into their recording process, the themes of their new album, and the differences between making this one and their first album, "The Long Way The Slow Way". They also touch on the realities of touring and the growth of their musical influences over the years. The Hold Steady, Superchunk, Superdrag, we talk about all of them. Allll the super bands!

The fellas reminisce on their favorite performances and their tour with The Smoking Popes, along with the excitement surrounding their Halloween album release and the launch of the Camp Trash video game, available now at camptrash.org.
