For the misfits who wore their hearts on their sleeves and their headphones in their ears—our scars are a part of us, and our stories are worth sharing. Here, we embrace the angst, the nostalgia, and the soundtracks that shaped us. We're not just the kids who grew up on emo and pop-punk; we're the adults who carry that music in our souls, still finding meaning in every riff and lyric. This is a space for healing, laughing, remembering, and redefining what it means to grow up while never letting go of the music that helped us survive. Welcome to Emo Kids Anonymous Podcast

*Unfortunately Amanda was unable to join me for this episode, she will be back next week thankfully. Lorde knows I need her to captain this ship. Thankfully I was joined by two worthy guests, Lisa from Stereo Therapy and Kanan from NAPNET news. Please enjoy, and Amanda I hope I didn't say or do anything too bad without you there to keep me in line.* -Robb Laffoon

On this episode we dive deep into everything fandom. The online communities, the barricade brigades, meet and greets, and everything in between. we get into personal experiences, the evolution of fan culture, and the impact of social media. The sense of community that fandoms create, the challenges of elitism, and the significant role female fans play in the music industry all come up as well. This also touches on the accessibility of concerts and how personal identity is intertwined with the bands you love. At one point the discussion also touches on the controversial legacy of the band Brand New and the complexities of navigating the separation of art from artist and yeah, we also touch on the best and worst fanbases. At the end of the day though this episode is about importance of respect and understanding within the music community that we all need to work together to achieve.
