
It’s so easy to express our happiness and excitement, we laugh, we squeal, we sit smiling. It’s so much more difficult to express anger, sadness, frustration… a lot of us believe that “not feeling” and ignoring will lead to the disappearance of that negative emotion… or maybe even the event that was making us feel this way. But the truth is, not expressing equals suppressing, and suppression can lead to depressive episodes, numbness, or remaining in a constant state of negativity. So instead of feeling guilty or annoyed at ourselves for having suppressed emotions because of whatever reason, let’s take a step back and SCREAM. Scream your emotion, scream your thoughts, scream your frustrations the same way that you would squeal your excitement… or don’t… draw instead, dance instead, design an outfit instead, paint it instead, write a song about it instead. Emotions NEED release, so no matter how you choose to release them (I’ll give you a list of ways), and whatever creative style aligns with you (which I’ll assist you in determining), we’re going to help you release, end emotional suppression, and finally let go of the negativity holding you back.
