East to West | World Music With Eitan Battat ft. Dua Lipa (S4 | E192)

East to West World Music Songbook
with Eitan Battat (S4 | E192)

Opening Music: MFSB (as always), the signature sound of East to West.
WERB 107.5 music to chill and vibe with.
Welcome to our listeners globally and Coast to Coast in the US. You are at the right URL WERB radio.com, at the right time. And you are on another program of East to West, and this is Eitan Battat.

Welcome my friends and listeners to yet another program of East to West Songbook. As I sit here tonight and spin - so to speak - these chilled and global grooves have reminded me of how far I have come since the very first broadcast of East to West. Yeah, it was the end of 2020, a challenging time. The world was hit by COVID and was running wild. No vaccine in sight and uncertainty hung in the air like a fog. That's when the idea for this program was born.
My partner PJ mentioned that a Nashville, NC, station that he's working with, is looking for new shows. It wasn’t a paid gig, but I jumped off the chance and after a quick interview and submitting a sample, I was over the choice of time slot. I chose Wednesday, 5:00 to 7:00 PM. And let me tell you, I was ecstatic, beyond excited. This was not about money. This was about my passion, about finding an outlet for my creative soul. And so, at the end of the summer four years ago, East to West made its initial, inaugural broadcast.
Now, I'll admit the road hasn't been smooth, and I was eventually let go from that station. But that's a story for another time. What stayed consistent over all these four years is the essence of the show, exploring the rhythm and melodies of the world. Bridging cultures through music. After all, it's our universal language. The delivery has evolved. It's more refined now. More laid back and tonight's tunes reflect just that. Music to unwind, music to connect with, music to relax. That said, I’ve got some great music coming up I'm sure you're going to enjoy featuring the dynamic Dua Lipa, Barbara Streisand, Norah Jones, and many more. So, wherever you are listening from, sit back, relax. No seat belt is necessary. Enjoy the journey from East to West.
Stay with me.

Welcome my friends and loyal listeners to another East to West Songbook. I've crafted a spectacular lineup for you tonight. I usually talk about kindness at the closing of the East West program. However, I got to thinking about the parallels between music and kindness, and they both are kind of universal languages.
Kindness speaks to everyone regardless of language, culture, and background. And a melody or simple kind of gesture can communicate love, empathy and understanding without too many words. Both music and kindness have a ripple effect. A song can inspire many, many listeners and leave a lasting impression. And it's also can have an emotional impact, just like kindness can. Both of them can touch the heart in a very unique way. Think about it; a beautiful song remains timeless, just as a kind deed is never forgotten. Both leave a significant mark that shapes the way people feel and remember their experiences. And I'll tell you this; you know it, music has always been in the center and the heart of social movements. Yes, music has inspired change and hope.
Kindness kind of works the same. One act of at a time can transform and change the world. Yeah, I think so. When you think about it, kindness is like composing a melody. And when you extend kindness, whether it is through a smile, a helping hand, or a simple act of understanding. You set something in motion. It's like music itself, a rhythm, a melody.
Tonight, as we travel from East to West surrounding ourselves with sounds and stories, remember; be the first one to be kind, because if you do that, you'll never lose. Pay it forward because in the war that kindness leads, we are all winners.
So for the next two hours and join me on a journey around the world with music featuring the Dapper Dean Martin, Pink Floyd, Stevie Wonder, and many more.
Stay with me.

My friends and loyal listeners, it seemed that just about yesterday I was sitting here and broadcasting the last program of East to West and here I am sitting in front of my mic one more time. And as we approached this beautiful time of the year, there is something special in the air. I feel it's the spirit of giving, spirit of patience and generosity, and it feels more alive than ever. And while we often think of giving - whether it's for Christmas or the holiday of Hanukkah in terms of gifts or time - there is another kind of gift that we all have at our fingertips; it's music. Music is a gift that we share so easily with others, whether it's a song sent to a friend on Spotify, attract this covered through Shazam or YouTube; we send the song as a message or sometimes to express our feelings. And it certainly got me thinking, thinking that how music has always been about sharing. It's sort of the universal language that's from one heart to another.
This week I found myself digging deep in some of my old cassettes. Yes, I used to record many of them. Each one was like opening a little time capsule full of memories and music I haven't heard in years. Songs I had almost forgotten about. I felt the urge to share them again and give them somewhat of a new life. So tonight, I'm going to press rewind, and then play. And then I'll share some of the music I have rediscovered. But not just that music; some new stuff, and of course the old stuff, and the best music in town. Join me on a journey around the world with music featuring the awe-inspiring Aretha Franklin, Lionel Richie, Amy Winehouse, and many more. It's cold and chilled, and it's going to stay that way for the next two hours. Stay with me.

Hello friends and loyal listeners, welcome to another chapter of East to West songbook. Thank you for joining me on a unique journey from East to West. Have you ever noticed how music can turn back the clock and take you through memory lane or even fast forward it. Sometimes a simple melody can take you right back to your childhood. You can recall the smells of summer evening, or winter nights, the memory of lost love, or the beautiful love that you may have as a child or a young adult. And then it can fast forward, painting dreams of your future you haven't lived yet. Music has that effect on me. It can take me back years and years and I'll remember the time, the day, the weather, and the people that were present when I heard that particular melody.
Maybe music has the same effect on you as well. Yes, music has this incredible ability to make time irrelevant. It connects us to who we were, who we are, and who we might become. I'll tell you a bit about my trip to the Caribbean and some more surprises along the way. For the next two hours, join me on a journey around the world with music featuring the bold Billy Joel, Van Morrison, The Righteous Brothers, and many more. So, wherever you are tuning in from, let the notes hear tonight, let the music take you to a journey. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride. Stay with me for the next two hours.

I'm so blessed to be with you right here, right now, to share another East to West songbook. And that'll bring me to the thought of; what is the difference between being blessed and being lucky? Yeah, I know, those terms occasionally get interchangeable, but they have a distinct difference in their deeper meaning. I kind that of luck being typically associated with random chance, coincidence. It's attributed to fortune - good fortune rather than bad fortune - that is outside of anybody’s control. Luck is unpredictable while being blessed implies that whatever is happening, the good fortune or the blessing, is coming in a tribute to a higher power, sort of a divine intervention. Yes, sometimes we need a bit of a bit of luck and sometimes we need some blessings. We can't really rely on luck, it's somewhat unreliable and mostly out of our control. I think that being blessed always involves more of a reflective and humble perspective, a gratitude of an acknowledgement that whatever is happening, is received as part of life's larger plan.
It's a blessing for me to share music on this program of East to West, and that's exactly what I'm doing on every program. The blessing is my ability to continue and broadcast to all of you out there, whether they are two dozen listeners or 200 listeners, it doesn't matter. And today's lineup is awesome as usual. For the next two hours, join me on a journey around the world with music featuring the beloved Barbra Streisand, The Eagles, Céline Dion, and many more. Welcome my friends and loyal listeners from all corners of the globe. Welcome to another edition - or I should call it installment - of the East to West songbook. I'm truly delighted to be your guide on tonight's musical journey. This week I have hand-picked some real gems that I'm eager to share with you and that will include some surprises that I have carefully tucked in for you. The question always remains, do you like surprises? It's funny how surprises can swing both ways. At work I tend to avoid surprises, they can throw plans off course, but sometimes the unexpected brings a thrill, a sense of excitement and a chance to discover something new as it unfolds. With the recent elections behind us, I can't help it but wonder if a surprise of the good kind is around the corner. Perhaps it won't be as daunting as some have predicted. Maybe, just maybe, we are on the verge of a new chapter. Perhaps we are on the brink of a new dawn, a dawn that could be better for America and who knows, for the entire world.
So, my friends as we embark on tonight’s musical odyssey, I invite you to open your hearts and let the sounds move you, guide you, and remind you that life's most profound moments often come when we least expect them. That's what's so great about East to West playlist included songs and music that you've forgotten about; some new stuff some old stuff. For the next two hours, join me on a journey around the world with music featuring the fascinating Fleetwood Mac, Carlos Santana, Simon & Garfunkel, and many more. Welcome my friends and loyal listeners to a special program of East to West. Tonight is unlike any other because it's a tribute, a homage to someone who - in my eyes - is more than just a singer. He is perhaps my favorite, favorite vocalist of all time. He is a poet and talented musician; it's the one and only Leonard Cohen. It's hard to believe it's been 8 years since he left us in 2016 at the age of 82. Yet his war of the music remains as powerful and relevant as ever. Whether you are familiar with Leonard Cohen work or are just discovering it; tonight’s program will be worth your while.
Cohen was first and foremost a poet, an astonishing writer of lyrics. Cohen did not venture into music until 1966. I had the privilege of knowing Cohen music for many years. His music is certainly the soundtrack to my growing up. It was very, very difficult to choose the songs I'd like to share with you and after hours of deliberation with myself, I've selected some of the songs that I’d like to share. Personally, I prefer the less polished Leonard Cohen with his more mature, raspy voice from live shows, rather than the studio albums. So, I selected of the songs from one concert of Leonard Cohen from 2012 in London. Throughout the program, I will sprinkle some stories, poetry, and music of Leonard Cohen as we celebrate the timeless work of Leonard Cohen right here on East to West. So for the next two hours, join me on a journey around the world with music featuring the legendary Leonard Cohen, Bruce Springsteen, Pink Martini, and many more.
Stay with me.

Welcome dear friends and loyal listeners, thank you for joining me for another East to West songbook. I've got a real special program today, great music, great compilation. But before we start our East to West journey with all the melodies around the globe, I'd like to take a moment and just reflect on something that is deeply significant to me: gratitude. The Jewish religion calls for a gratitude blessing as soon as you open your eyes in the morning, being grateful for God that he was merciful, and gave you back your soul after your night's sleep. And that's how your day should start. Gratitude is more than just a polite thank you; it is a powerful, powerful mindset that allows you to find meaning, connection, and joy in your everyday lives. It is about technology, the beauty around you, the people you cherish, the experiences you encounter, and even the challenges that may help you grow.
Throughout history gratitude would also be expressed through music, poetry, and rituals. I feel that in many ways, music is the language of gratitude. It has that ability to capture what words alone sometimes cannot express. A simple melody or heartfelt lyrics can convey feelings of appreciation and love in a way that can resonate very deeply with anyone who listens.
That's what is so special about East to West. You can listen to music from different cultures, from around the world, and you get the opportunity to experience the diversity of human expression and the gratitude that flows through it. I'm grateful for being here with you to take you on the journey from East to West. So for the next two hours and join me on a journey around the world with music featuring the psychedelic Pink Floyd, Elvis Presley, Earth Wind & Fire, and many more. I promise you 2 hours of chilled, cool, relaxed, and enjoyable music. Thanks for joining me for another East to West songbook. This week 26 years ago, my mom had passed away. My mom was the inspiration and the driving force behind my lifelong love for radio. From a very young age, I watched her wear her heart into every broadcast, ensuring that each program was executed to perfection. The person behind the microphone was nothing short of mesmerizing. She had an incredible ability to connect with her audience, making every listener feel as if she was speaking directly to them. Matching her broadcasting abilities is an almost impossible challenge. Her career was all she had. She started from nothing and climbed to the heights of the Israeli broadcasting authority. And although it was very demanding, she was never too busy to be the best mother.
She instilled in me the values of hard work, kindness, and generosity; all while leading by example. Although she passed many years ago, I feel her influence in every aspect of my life. I'm proud to have been inspired by such an extraordinary woman. Her legacy in both radio and motherhood, continue to shape my own journey. East to West - this radio program that you're listening to - is a testament for that continuous journey. Sometimes I just wish that you would listen to one of my programs, give me some pointers for it to pause, where to enter, sequencing the music, and whatever she may think necessary to make my program better.
So, mom wherever you are, thank you for the inspiration, thank you for instilling in me the love for music and radio. And of course, you are on East or West, and I hope you will enjoy this particular songbook that I've compiled for you with music featuring the sensational Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra, Mumford & Sons, and many more. Welcome to another program of East to West and it's just an honor for me to be your captain on another journey from East to West.
As we transition into the fall season, there is some kind of a sense of quiet renewal in the air. The leaves turn vibrant shades of red and gold, kind of taking their time to fall down to the ground; and by doing so, mark the end of the summer warmth. Another season is passing by. Yeah, we feel the cool breeze coming through fueling that transition. This always feels to me that it's time to slow down. After all, I've been trying to do that for so, so many months - ohh maybe a couple of years now - and it's time to kind of reflect back to that Jewish holiday on new beginnings.
The autumn, as it always does, invites you to shed what no longer serves you; nature does it with ease, effortlessly and at once you see the trees are just standing there. Maybe, just maybe, the changing of the season into the fall is inviting us for more quieter, introspective days ahead. Maybe, just maybe, this is the season of transformation, for new beginnings. You will judge; you will be the author; you will be the director of the next chapter.
Just as I put together another compilation, another songbook of cool, chilled, relaxed, unrushed music. Trying to give you the just the right vibe to transition you from the first half of the week to the second half of the week. So for the next two hours and join me on a journey around the world with music featuring the superb Sting, Eric Clapton, John Legend, Salma Hayek, and many more.
So, stay with me for the next couple of hours, I assure you a one of its kind journey.

Hello, my friends and loyal listeners, it is fabulous to be back right here with you broadcasting another program of East to West. I missed last week; it was the Jewish New Year. In fact, we are in that critical time between the Jewish New Year to the days of Atonement. Those days are considered to be the Ten Days of Repentance, or Aseret Yemei Teshuvah in Hebrew. This is a period of deep reflection and spiritual significance in Judaism. This time of the year provides a unique opportunity for personal introspection and growth. As individuals, we seek to reconnect with our moral and spiritual values, but we should do that all the time. We should not have a specific time of the year to repent or for that matter, look for personal introspection. It is also a time for forgiveness, but forgiveness should be exercised all year long.
The power of forgiveness is huge. It provides the ability to heal, transform, and liberate oneself from anger or resentment and pain, allowing space for peace and renewal. Music and its ability to offer comfort; the release is very forgiving. It knows no judgment and accepts you and your feelings whenever they are, wherever they are. And it's a great segue to welcome all of you to another East to West songbook where you enter - literally - the chill zone. I assure you a blend of wonderful, smooth, cool music that will be as relaxed as sunset drive. So for the next two hours and join me on a journey around the world with music featuring the amazing Andrea Bocelli, Jimi Hendrix, Barry White, and many more.
So, whether you are winding down or just soaking in the moment, stay with me for the next two hours.

Welcome to another edition of East to West, East to West songbook. The best thing about traveling is that you can get to go home, and I'm thrilled to be back after traveling through Europe, Portugal specifically; where I collected not just memories, but some fantastic music along the way. From the lobbies of hotels to cars of Ubers and taxi drivers, the journey was full of unique sounds that really brought the culture to life. It's one of my favorite aspects of traveling, not just the sites, flavors and attractions, but also the music that fills the air and sets the tone for each and every experience.
And I'm not just talking about Fado, which is the traditional Portuguese music. I discovered many different vibes, rhythms, and genres during my time in Portugal, some English as well. And today I'm so excited to share some of those few tracks. Through the hundreds of miles that I traveled through Portugal, I've listened to multiple radio stations. I kind of ‘scanned the dial’ as they say, seeking for music. Some station I got connected with and some I just passed by, and finally I landed on one radio station, smooth FM. I'll talk more about smooth FM network of seven radio station throughout Portugal, with beautiful music - most of it in English by the way - but a lot of original music from Portugal. So, stay with me for the next two hours and join me on a journey around the world with music featuring the sounds of smooth Santana, Hozier, Paul McCartney, and many more. I promise you a chilled cool and relaxing music for your evening.
So, unplug, relax, and stay with me.

Hello, my friends and loyal listeners, so happy you join me for one more program of East to West songbook.
I look around and see all the pain and suffering, all the wars that's going on and that's on top of our own stress and anxiety; on a daily basis our own grief and trial mind fears and everything else. Yes, my dear listeners, the world is in chaos, never mind the elections that are coming up. I talked about feeling bad about feeling good and I personally go through those up and down so many times on a weekly basis. Sometimes daily I feel guilty that I'm sad and then I feel guilty that I'm not sad. Yes, there's a lot of suffering and pain all over, then I start feeling guilty for feeling guilty, and then feeling guilty for not feeling guilty, and then I get into that vicious circle. And then people who are not really encouraging; what they say is that it's not the right time really, it's not the right time to travel and it's dangerous, it's not the right time to go to dinner we don't know what the economy is going to be like, it's not the right time for this, it's not the right time for that. It's not the right time to be discouraged or sad, that's what I say, and I'll tell you it's not the right time to say it's not the right time.
We all need some kind of a mental break, some kind of an escape, a solace so to speak at the end of the day. It's all a question of balance. I don't know what's your solace what's your escape, but you gotta find one. For me it's this program. Being here for two hours sharing music is my refuge; it's my escape. That said, I’ve got some great music coming up I'm sure you're going to enjoy featuring the fabulous John Lennon, Billie Eilish, Amy Winehouse, and many more. So sit back, relax, and take a journey from East to West, North to South, not necessarily in that order.
Stay with me.

Welcome to another East to West Songbook. So happy to be with you and thank you, thank you for joining me. There’s so, so much suffering in this world right now. The world is missing lots of love. I truly believe that we are in a critical time in history, but maybe every time was a critical time in history. I just really think that we need to adopt the philosophy of live and let live. This philosophy emphasizes tolerance and mutual respect. It truly encourages the individual to allow each other to live their life as they see fit, without interference or judgment. But of course, as long as there's no harm is being done to others.
We will have so much peace and coexistence. We'll have the ability to embrace diversity and recognize that everyone has their own unique perspective and ways of life. Maybe, just maybe, it's too ambitious. But what's wrong with being ambitious to support live and let live? We can create such a harmonious and more understanding world, where differences are accepted and value and even live and let live will also apply a degree of humanity. Acknowledging that we don't have the answer for all the problems of the world, and that our own way isn't necessarily the best way or the only way. It's calls for patience, empathy and willingness to let go of the need to be right.
Yes, I do believe that we can adopt this way of life. And while we're contemplating that, we are right here on East to West. And I have a wonderful lineup that I have compiled and put together for your pure pleasure and enjoyment. So for the next two hours, sit back, relax, keep on doing what you're doing. And join me on a journey around the world with music featuring the wonderful Bee Gees, Rod Stewart, and many more.
Stay with me.

Welcome, my dear and loyal listeners, to the East to West songbook. The songbook refers to a compilation of the music I've put together for you, from East to West, North to South and not necessarily in this order, for you to experience and enjoy world music.
It’s continuously in the news and right in front of us, so many protesters are disrupting real life with their causes. Now don’t misunderstand me, I'm all for free speech and letting the world know about your cause. But really disrupting life for people that may even believe in the same cause you have; I really don't accept. I know, I know. Protesting is one of the fundamentals of our democracy, and I will always support protesting for any cause, but not any expense of others.
There are a bunch of protesters in Frankfurt, Germany, who glued themselves to the runway. Yes, glued themselves to the runway. I don't know what they were protesting about, but for three hours they have disrupted flights and caused anguish for so many travelers.
They are certain genres of music that I don't like. Well, yeah, like heavy metal music cause that's not really my style. I don't like it. It does not mean that I'm going to buy a ticket for some heavy metal group and stand outside and protest, right?
I truly believe that if there is anything to change in this world, we can do it through music. Don't you think? Ray Charles said “I was born with music inside me. Music was one of my parts, like my ribs, like my kidneys, like my heart, like my blood. It was a force already within me when I arrived on the scene. It was a necessity for me, like food and water.”
Boy, do I feel the same. Music is certainly a necessity and that’s why you are here on East to West. So, I’ve got a great program here for you tonight. Some guests from Italy going to call live to the studio. We have some great music coming up, music that you forget about, but I'm going to be happy to remind you. The oldies, the newies. So, sit back, relax, keep doing what you're doing and enjoy the ride.
Stay with me.

Hello, my friends and loyal listeners. So happy to be here one more time with another program of East to West. I often now listen to Sirius FM, Seriously Sinatra, channel 70 to those who have a Sirius FM subscription. It is well worth it for me, as it's a great source of the music.
While listening to the channel, the announcer kept repeating and referring to the Great American Song books. I wasn't sure what they are referring to exactly, but I guess they were referring to the songs which are the most important and influential, in America history. Mostly jazz standard from the early 20th century, 1920 to about 1950 and those songs stood the test of time in their life and legacy.
So, I was wondering why just 1920 to 1950? What happened to some other Great American Artists like The Eagles or Elvis Presley? Hey, how about Chuck Berry, or Marvin Gaye, Ray Charles, the list goes on and on and on. I get it. We all have to be American. After all, it is the Great American Songbook.
I realize that every playlist and every song I play right here on east to West should belong to a song book. It is the East to West Song book. That's how I'm going to refer to it moving forward. And speaking of this program or songbook, I’ve got a good one for you today. We're going to remember Elvis, as we marked 57 to his passing just last weekend and some more stuff by Sting.
Stay with me.

Welcome to our listeners globally and Coast to Coast in the US. You are at the right URL WERB radio.com, at the right time. And you are on another program of East to West, and this is Eitan Battat.

Well, my dear listeners, you all waited for another week and here we are, with another program of East to West. And I'll take you on a journey this time, from East to West and North to South, not necessarily in this order. I promise you an incredible journey around the world with music and with songs and artists that you may have heard of and others you have not.
See, some of my listeners are asking me well is there a theme for this program tonight? Frankly, I prefer not to have a theme program because it limits me the ability to broadcast to you and share all the songs I’ve collected and listen to and liked of course, over the past week. A theme will box me into the same genre, perhaps the same artist, or even the same language. My dear friend, Yuriel, has done a tremendous job in having a themed program, Canciones de la Maestra, bringing you a theme with every new program. Sometimes she has female vocalists from countries from A-Z. Sometimes it’s a male vocalist from A-Z or from various countries. Sometimes it's the same song with cover; the original plastic covers that you used to always use. She’s so, so good.
Me, me, I'm all over the place. I like to play the new stuff, the old stuff, many different genres. And of course, all the world music with many, many languages. So, my program is exactly just that, all over the place. I'm going to remember Francois Hadid that just passed away last week and of course, play some old ones, some new ones. We have Frank Sinatra, Gypsy King, Nat King Cole, just to name a few. A song by my friend, dear friend, in Hebrew. Stay with me.

Welcome my dear listeners globally and Coast to Coast in the US. You are at the right URL WERB radio.com, at the right time. And you are on another program of East to West, and this is Eitan Battat.

Well, today is exactly the birthday of WERB. The station has been in existence exactly 3 years today. I was hoping to bring you a special birthday program of East to West, but I couldn't get it together fast enough. In fact, the biggest hurdle was trying to select the right songs for an anniversary or a birthday program.
I had selected over 100 songs that they wanted to play, songs that are really like the best of the best of East to West. Songs that I’ve played over the past three years, some of them were repeated, some of them are original songs that were played only once. But many, many songs that I really care about and love.
But I realize that I can only really play 24 songs max on any given two hours program. So, I decided, what's the rush? I can do the best of the best anniversary program next week. Perhaps I can bring you two programs of East to West, each of them two hours Part A and Part B of the Anniversary Birthday of WERB. Where there's going to be one program or two programs of East to West Anniversary. I can at least get my partner PJ to join in via the phone and share some stories, some thoughts, and some laughs about how we started the radio station.
So, what’s in this program of East to West? Some new stuff by, Snow Allegra, she is new to me. Some new stuff Janelle Monáe, the Flamingos, and Neko Case. Some stuff that I have not heard before, but I discovered just recently. And of course, the oldies, Frank Sinatra & Company, Tony Bennett, and some more. So stay with me for the next two hours.

As you all know, it's good to be away and it's always, always good to be back. If we’re always away then how would we know where is back, and where we coming to?
So yes, I was away. There was no live show last week. But I’m back, back in my studio. For me, this is the comfort zone. That's where I like to be. It's my domain. Over the past 10 days I have limited access to Internet. I have to admit I am an internet addict and I’m addicted to my phone. It was hard to get used to at the beginning. However, it felt liberating not having to check emails, to check news, and to be online constantly like we all have begun to. So instead of listening to some dynamic music that comes from playlists on Spotify or YouTube, I have to listen to playlists that were saved on my phone.
That give me an opportunity to revisit some of my massive library of music. I don't know if you will relate, but I have somewhere around 18,000 digital tracks, so most of today's program are classics that I've played in the past three years on East to West. So this program of East to West will be cool, smooth, and relaxing. Get ready for some wonderful music tonight including something special from the great Ray Charles.
Stay with me.

Well, well, well, here we are with one more program of East to West. This past week had been very, very, very eventful. Full of events and 1 big concert, which I want to share shortly with you. However, I'm very happy to be here right now for the next two hours and bring you one more program of World music extravaganza, of East to West.

This week I had a once in a lifetime opportunity to attend The Rolling Stones concert. It was at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA, and it was one of the most exciting concerts I ever, ever attended. Let me tell you, I've been to some, many many concerts but this one topped them all off. It was very nostalgic and very emotional for me beside the incredible, wonderful classic music of The Rolling Stones. Exactly, exactly two years ago, I want to see Paul McCartney in concert at Fenway Park in Massachusetts. I thought that that was the most exciting, the most memorable and nostalgic concert I ever seen. And then came The Rolling Stones concert. 60,000 fans filled Gillette Stadium, where the Patriots play. There was not a single seat to be found. Not that anybody was sitting! 21/2 hours of concert and everybody was standing and dancing in their space. Therefore, the program tonight will be filled with The Rolling Stones music. The songs that I've heard in the concert, and of course you're going to get some new stuff by Bread and Butter and the Japanese artist Makoto Matsushita. He's so good. He's jazzy, he's glitzy, you'll enjoy him. Plus, all our regulars, Frank Sinatra of course, all the oldies, and some more.
Stay with me.
