South Africa's very own Super Vet - Dr Carra Walters | EP08

Dr Carra Walters is a highly motivated and inspiring individual who is passionate about animal well-being and committed to critical care. She is the owner of Hillcrest Veterinary Hospital in Hillcrest, KZN and heads up a team of enthusiastic colleagues. In addition to running her veterinary practice, she has also become South Africa's UltraPetVet for the local animal food brand - UltraPet. This role allows her to represent vets across South Africa and explore her passion for animal nutrition.

Trained as a Veterinary Surgeon at Edinburgh and with a BSc in Biological and Medicinal Chemistry from Exeter University in the UK, Dr Carra returned to South Africa to pursue her dream of providing quality veterinary care. Her experience as an emergency vet has reaffirmed her dedication to improving the way in which veterinary care is delivered when needed the most.

Dr Carra shares her journey to becoming a business owner and running a dedicated team of vets, as well as her love for animal nutrition. She is the brains behind KZN's online pet store - justforpets.co.za, which provides pet owners with an online platform to buy veterinary recommended products of the highest quality. Only the best for your pets. Just for Pets was built out of love and developed from the need to provide local prompt delivery and a reliable service to the greater pet community across KZN and nationwide.
