Coming Back, Random Mark Normand Inspiration, AI Conversations, and Keeping AI Happy

It's tough to start talking from a place of nothingness, since that's what it feels like coming back from another hiatus. Maybe it's a mindset thing. But Mark Normand and AI really have inspired me to actually get back on the horse. I do find AI to be the most intersting thing at the moment, and has been for a bit. It's almost the greatest thing since the internet before it became an extention of the outragousness of IRL.

And on the off-chance Mark actually see's this; I'm serious, this may help ya sleep. Maybe not this episode exactly, but it's been known to help.

Unearthing Sleeping Habits & Rituals That Helped Me Sleep Easier, Faster and Curb Insomnia (💤 + 🌧️)

My voice puts people to sleep. But I can't use that voice for my own sleep. I reveal what I did to turn my consistent insomnia and 90+ minutes time to sleep down to 10-20 over the last decade. It's not easy, but gradual change is possible, I hope this helps you on your journey to quality sleep. I've included two sections:

  1. My daily ritual for weekdays and weekends.
  2. The specific habits and tweaks made that have helped me get decent sleep for about 90% of my nights. Still not a full cure for insomnia, but going from 2/10 sleep to 7-9 range consistently isn't anything to sneeze at imo.

One year ago I wrote 200+ notecards on various notes, theories, ideas, tips, and advice (with some jokes and skit ideas, apparently) as self reminders and reflection. I haven't reviewed them until today. This is a stream-of-consciousness mini-series so while you may find a brain nugget listening, this episode (especially for 1st time listeners) is likely best suited as a way to fall asleep to my yawn-inducing voice while blocking out mind-chatter.

About Droolish: Droolish is a sleep and relaxation podcast, often best consumed to slaughter mind-chatter and curb your insomnia. My voice is yawn-inducing (apparently to some), so I decided to create a podcast dedicated to helping those with sleeping problems fall asleep. I'll be honest. This episode is a bit rough, my voice gave out and the most value for this episode will be strictly from my yawn-inducing voice. About halfway through I get back in my flow, but not much more. In the words of Tony Kornheiser, "we'll try and do better the next time". Do you prefer a half-strained episode or no episode at all?
