Although we cherish the time spent with our loved ones, there are conversations that can come up that cause stress, or comparison, or insecurity within ourselves. Not to mention the stress of generally being out of your routine, seeing extended family members you may not have visited in a long time, knowing how to be a good guest, the cold weather and seasons changing--there's so much happening at once. It's very easy to compare your path to others when you see your family members getting married, having children, getting jobs, buying homes, and other major life events. If you have ever felt overwhelmed by these conversations and wishing you could just head back home where no one will judge you, then these are the affirmations for you. This comparison game we play with ourselves isn't productive, and is limiting our ability to have gratitude for the time we get with our family.
